property was great and very close to tourist attractions. The thing that I did not like was lack of heater or heating facilities when it got cold. It was very uncomfortable in cold.

The place is in a dark, small alley. While the first impression of the property is that of a charming old place with a nice tiny courtyard and a small nice shop and friendly young staff in yellow t-shirts, the fun ends when you cannot sleep at night because the noise is coming virtually from everywhere. Rooms have no proper doors which would close; actually one can look inside through the gaps and none of the rooms have glass windows. A loop of exactly the same song is continuously played throughout the hotel. There were two water cuts during the two days, each taking a while until they were fixed. Staff try to be helpful but are not organized at all. On checkout, I advised them of a missing restaurant bill. This was then added. However, the decided to also add a check for 2 coffees we never had based on a check with a complete different signature. It was clearly someone else’s but they were adamant and thus delayed us for 30 minutes. Worst is the booking service, which is operated from Delhi. When there was an issue with our booking and payment after checkout, they simply did not respond, even after 5 e-mail reminders from us and from Expedia, who were very efficiently trying to assist us but were also ignored. Overall not an experience I would want to make again.

Sehr schönes altes Gebäude in guter Lage direkt am City Palace. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und bequem. Leider haben die Fenster zur (Seiten-) Straße kein Fensterglas, daher kann es lauter und im Winter etwas kalt werden. Es gab gutes Frühstück (europäisch & indisch) und ein nettes Restaurant zum Abendessen.
