Excellent hotel close to the Istiklal Cd and within walking distance to Taksim square, Galata tower, and Galata bridge. Really great spot with lots of food options as well. One of the staff, Burak, was very helpful especially to store some food in their fridges during our stay. Would definitely stay there again.

It was a nice place to stay, although my first room was on the 8 floor and had a bad smell. I asked to change my room, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They changed my room quickly, and throughout my stay, they were always available to help — even with getting a taxi

Amazing view from my bedroom, very comfortable and Spacy room. Breakfast is rich and fresh but must be taken before 8.30. Otherwise very few choices are left. Central location, very close to touristic centres. Welcoming and helpful staff. Strongly recommended.

This is my second time at Dora Pera, its my favorite hotel, very clean, big rooms and comfortable. Very near to the metro station only 5 mins walking, bus station is just in front of the hotel 1 min walking, very near to istiklal street and galata tower, i would recommend for everyone, breakfast very good quality and big variety. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend it for solo and families travelers.

good location which is very close to the Metro station and Galata Tower. The only downside was that there were very limited tables for breakfast so you had to wait for other people to finish their meals or sit next to other families. It's a very clean and quiet 3-star hotel.

Very pleasant stay at Dora Pera. Walking distance to Istiklal avenue, metro near by, small food shop near by and plenty of restaurants/ bars within walking distance. Beautiful view of the Golden horn from our room. All staff very friendly and helpful at all times. Great selection of food at breakfast. Always fresh and clean. Room was perfect and clean with everything you could ask for. Free water and coffee/ teas every day. Definitely recommend and would return to this hotel.

Great experience

Firstly hotel location is perfect, it s very close to public transports( metro, funicular, taxi, bus). Also it s just for a minute Istiklal Street by walk. Hotel staff were so kind and helpful people, they responded all my request nicely on time. There is a breakfast and fairly enough for starting the day. Rooms were big enough for me and toilets were clean and in good condition.

I was expecting just a functional business stay at Dora Pera, but the hotel exceeded my expectations. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean. There were some late party-ers in the room next door, but the noise is what you would expect in this part of Istanbul. Overall, highly recommend!

The hotel is in a fairly quiet neighbourhood and a great location, close to landmarks and public transportation. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast exceeded my expectations with a good variety and combinations. However, the room insulation was poor. I could clearly hear guests next door. Smoking was allowed in the lobby, and the smoke spread to the elevators, dining area, and even my room at times. I also noticed handprints on doors and handles, as well as shoe marks on the floor.

Great location and clean hotel

I stayed in the 3 twin bed room with a sea view with my mom and sister. The beds were comfortable and the room and bathroom was very clean. All of the hotel was very clean and well maintained. The staff was always very warm and helpful to guests. The cleaning lady Azad was very sweet. The room service was great. The breakfast was a great spread. The view from our window was beautiful in the night. In our room the space is just enough. We had 5 suitcases which made it a little tight but they have a cupboard so we used that to keep all our stuff. They also have a safe locker. There is a spa which offers hamam too but I didn’t have time to try it. The location of this hotel is just amazing. It’s situated right next to the bus stop and a few meters away from the metro m2 line. The galata tower is only a short walk away. And it’s only a short walk from the nostalgic tram that goes through istiklal street as well. They also gave us an extended checkout time. Overall I had a great experience here and would love to come back.

Very average hotel. It doesn’t worth the price. I reserved this hotel for my elderly parents and paid for a sea view room. They gave us an average room on the fifth floor with no specific view. After two days I talked to the manager and insisted on room upgrade. It took me one hour to convince him to upgrade our room to a deluxe room. Deluxe room was better. More spacious with a terrace and view. This is the only reason I’m giving them 2 stars. 1- Rooms are very basic. No tissue box, no iron, no extra toilet rolls, safety box not bolted to the drawer (safety issue), basic design. Cards to open room’s door deactivated every other day. 2- Wifi was not working most of the time. 3- breakfast quality is ok but breakfast area is small and congested. 4- Cleaning ladies were really nice, but once I asked reception how to get to princess island, they gave us a wrong address. It took us one hour to get to the address they gave us and when we got there they told us this is not the right location. We had to come all the way back! You want to trust your hotel reception to get info from! How on earth they don’t know how to get to the one of the biggest tourist attractions in Istanbul?! 5- After moving to deluxe room they gave me a sofa bed which was extremely uncomfortable. 6- I smelled sewage some days in hallways.
