Sad to hear this. It was obvious the moment you stepped into the office at check-in, that you were a heavy smoker....the smell was so strong, which is why staff directed you towards the picnic table area to smoke when here. We also do not supply any shower caps in the motel. Our housekeepers cleaned that room, on the morning of your arrival and did not detect any smoke from the previous guests, nor did they see any cap on the smoke alarm. So therefore, it is your word against theirs.. As for the other issues, we appreciate you bringing the toilet problem to our attention, it will be a simple fix, so apologies for that inconvenience. We will also aim to improve on the mattress quality. Our peak Summer rates (before 15% taxes are added) are based on many factors, including location, especially with it being over a long holiday weekend, and within a 10 minute walk to the beach. They have since gone down this week for Fall Season.

Thank you for the feedback Sarando, and sorry to disappoint. Had you booked our Standard Queen room, you would of had a table to sit at. The Basic Queen room type that you selected, has limited items and is cheaper in price for those reasons.

Sorry to hear this Hitomi. Your family stayed with us during our peak summer time, and these rates are reflected upon the motel (as you already said) being within a 10 minute walk to the beach/lake, as well as all the shops & restaurants. Sadly we cannot control the BC Taxes that are added to the regular room rate :)
