Traditional affordable motel

This is an older type motel. Our room was spacious and traditional in content and condition. The manager was friendly and helpful and put the heating on in advance of us checking in.

We liked the easy access to town, the property just needed a little bit of an upgrade but the service makes up for it. The couple were Awesome to get along with. I guarantee with a little bit more upgrade, this will be a 5star easily!!

Comfortable well equipped basic motel apartment

Basic but comfortable apartment, not just motel room, with bedroom and separate lounge/ kitchen area of good size. Not serviced daily but all extra needs provided by very friendly and delightful owner/manager. Suited our needs perfectly as in Invercargill for 4day classic motorbike event. Nice to have garden, bbq, and laundry with line and dryer.

Everything we needed - and a nice little extra!

We needed a dog friendly motel. Nothing more. We got a dog friendly motel, a nice garden to exercise them in, a large, comfortable unit (With a killer shower). Fabulous family filling in for the owners while they were away. My 6yr old grandson was greeted with the offer of some time with their 6yr old child and his massive bucket of Lego. He had a great time! I wouldn’t want to recommend Garden Grove Motel too often - I might not be able to get back in if they become too popular!! It’s a great area, quiet, dog friendly, child friendly, clean and tidy.

Lovely comfortable stay

Great stay at Garden Grove Motel, owner lovely and helpful. I wasn't there much as it was only at night to sleep, but very comfortable. It was lovely on the freezing cold day to come back late at night to unit to find the heater on and the curtains all drawn, so it was very warm & cozy when I arrived.

It was an excellent stay. My wife and I had no car available, so Helen (who is in charge of the motel) called one of her friends who came down from Dunedin. Helen and her friend took us for a very nice walk in the Bluff area. She did much more for us than one can expect.
