We had a wonderful stay at Wirtshaus Nattererboden. It is truly a one of a kind property and our family highly recommends it. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent and, although it is tucked away from city noise and lights of Innsbruck, it is a very easy and short drive into the city. And the views of the Alps from your room are fantastic.

We greatly enjoyed our stay. The restaurant attached to the hotel had delicious food and great service. The apartment was clean and suited our needs. The playground and animals were a nice added touch that my kids thoroughly enjoyed.

Great place, terrible owner

The place is wonderful. There are farm animals right outside the window. There are beautiful views and a nice trail through the forest. The restaurant downstairs has good food and nice staff. WARNING: The owner is a con artist. She kept trying to charge us a second time. She was frustrating to deal with and did not seem to understand that we booked online and paid in advance. She also tried to make up extra charges. We had to argue with her that we only owed the city tax and nothing extra. She kept insisting we give her our credit card. We even called Hotels.com to help explain things to her. We paid the city tax in cash and never gave her our credit card information.

Idyllic place with great view

We stayed a night here and enjoyed ourselves very much. The room was spacious and clean with big windows to enjoy the view. The service at the restaurant was outstanding and the food was simply delicious. Would definitely come back here. We didn't have a rental car coming here and while it's not necessary to get to this place, it may just be more convenient, especially if it's raining or snowing outside. That being said, we walked down to town to catch the local bus and absolutely enjoyed the walk and the views!!

Rural mountain getaway

Up in the mountains above Innsbruck. 20 minutes by tram and a beautiful ride. I walked about 20 minutes to the place, past grazing sheep and all. If hiking doesn’t suit you, maybe best if you’re driving. Friendly staff, nice room, beautiful view to take in while drinking beer at the restaurant there at end of day. Very nice place to chill.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Haben eine ganze Wohnung bekommen statt eines Doppelzimmers wie gebucht. Super. Da sagt man ja nicht nein. Essen im Restaurant sehr zu empfehlen. Für Kinder ist der Bauernhof ein Traum. Wir kommen wieder. Danke

Utterly wonderful hotel high up in the Innsbruck countryside. Our double room was actually an apartment complete with sofa, kitchen, terrace etc. Very comfortable. The restaurant attached was incredibly good, serving local cuisine. Is clearly popular with Austrians which shows how good it is. Loads of parking, high atop a hill just outside of Innsbruck, easy to get to with a car. Oh, has its own mini zoo. Nothing like starting your day watching Donkeys run around.

Beautiful unique property.

This place is incredible. The only problem we had was with the shower in the bathroom. We were only here one night so we didn’t say anything. Otherwise, what an incredible place for relaxation, quietness and incredible food. You are welcomed like family and treated as well. Loved the views and the surroundings of a farm and vast fields.

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich schön, dort gibt es viele Tiere und sehr viele freundliche Menschen. Sowohl das Personal als auch die Gäste. Das Bett war sehr bequem und das Zimmer ausreichend groß. Das Badezimmer ist dringend renovierungsbedürftig. Im anderen Haus, wurden aber wohl die Badezimmer renoviert, wirhatten ein Zimmer bekommen wo das Badezimmer noch nicht renoviert wurde, dies aber wohl ab Oktober geschieht. Alles in allem war unser Aufenthalt gut.

We had a great time Wirtshaus Natterboden. It was a the Austrian experience we were looking for. The hosts were very hospitable. The kids loved interacting with the farm animals (cows, pigs, horses, chickens, lambs, sheep, etc..). The family apartment with Loft was spacious. I recommend it for anyone whose children don't do well in a normal hotel room as there is a sitting/dining area and small kitchenette separate from the sleeping area. We enjoyed eating at the restaurant which was very accommodating of our dietary constraints. It was a short drive away from Innsbruck, but worth the experience and very reasonably priced.
