Room was beautiful and spotless, pool and deck were perfect and staff were exceptionally helpful and courteous - thanks so much! You asked for any thoughts on improvement: the ocean and a great blowhole are only a few feet from the hotel, it would be nice to have a better walkway and clean viewing area to experience it, but I’m sure its someone else’s property - too bad. It was fantastic!

This place was a very nice place to stay and the hostess was friendly and very helpful.

This is family run establishment. Very clean and quite. It is a short walk to the route of shared minivans (#11) for Bridgetown which costs less than US$2 and takes about 30/40 min.

My stay there was quiet and very serene, which was precisely what I needed after a very long year, along with a vacation. Ann Marie and Ameena took great care of me while I was there and while I was there I swam every day and hungout in the rear of the home while having a few drinks.

Hidden Gem is a perfect place to relax and just hang by the pool, or recline on the deck facing the ocean. It is not a place where you can step out the door and be on the beach or at a restaurant. If you have a car, Miami Beach is 5 minutes away. We went to Oistens (5 min by car) on a Thursday night and really enjoyed our fish dinner. (The guide books make it sound like it is only on Fridays. Not quite as lively as on Friday, but still a lot of fun on Thursday night.) The pool and breakfast were both very nice. Very convenient to the airport (about 15 min away).

We only had a one night stay due to a canceled flight. So surprised once we arrived. It was absolutely beautiful. Ann Marie made you feel like you were at home. The facility had all the amenities of a high-end hotel Gorgeous pool, bar, veranda's and a block from the ocean. It is the best B&B I have ever experienced. I highly recommend if you are looking for quiet, tranquil beautiful accommodations. Perfect for couples to unwind after a busy day. Next time we visit we will be staying at the Hidden Gem. Thank you Ann Marie!!!

Wow…. This truly is a hidden gem. You expect the property to be clean, beautiful, with great facilities in a great location. What differentiates good from great are the staff. The staff went out of their way to make our 4 day experience truly memorable. Can’t give enough praise for this oasis in Barbados. Don’t even hesitate, you will not be disappointed. What an awesome stay !!

Great Stay

The Hidden Gem Barbados was truly a gem to stay at. The room I stayed in had a nice theme and was decorated nicely. The bed was comfortable, and I really enjoyed the rainfall shower. I had to leave early for the airport, but Ann-Marie had prepared some fruit, cheese and coffee. I enjoyed eating and enjoying my coffee at the table by the pool in the backyard. The fact that I didn't arrive at the Hidden Gem until early morning, I didn't realize how close the ocean was to the property. I took a chance by staying here, but it very much lived up to the name. Truly a hidden gem nestled near the beach. When I pass back through Barbados, I will definitely entertain staying here again. Thank you Ann Marie for a great stay. Your place is awesome.

The house is so BEAUTIFUL! Ameena is so wonderful and accommodating. It was her actual night off and she stayed and waited for us to arrive after our flight landed late. She then made sure we had transportation to arrive there and drove us HERSELF to have a night out on the town. She ensured we had transportation back. I only have great things to say about our stay. We were only there for a few hours since we had a long layover until we headed to another country. Ameena I appreciate the hospitality, the security and most importantly the time you took to make sure we had everything we needed for our short stay. Thank you ❤️

I booked a room at Hidden Gem due to a cancelled flight. It was close to the airport and the price was reasonable. It is located in a residential area, with a restaurant that is within walking distance. The food at Ocean Blue was delicious and reasonably priced. Our hostess with the mostest, Ms. Ann Marie, is the sweetest, most hospitable host that I have ever encountered. She is personable and attentive, with a fantastic sense of humor. Her house is absolutely gorgeous. It is sparkling clean, tastefully decorated, and comfortable. Although there is no beach access, there is a large pool that will make you appreciate the home that much more. I can't forget to mention that she makes the best rum punch I've ever had! Needless to say, I loved our short time with Ann Marie and Hidden Gem, (special shout out to Clarence <3). I hope to visit again soon.

Hidden Gem Barbados exceeded all our expectations. Situated right by the sea, it offered a tranquil setting where we could hear the soothing sound of waves at night – an unbeatable location. Our room was immaculate and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The manager, Ameena, was exceptional, providing invaluable tips on local attractions and events that truly enriched our trip. The hotel’s charming building and cozy ambiance made it an ideal retreat. Although we were initially concerned about transportation since the hotel is a bit removed from the town, we found the proximity to the final stop of the local minibusses to be a huge advantage. These minibusses were incredibly convenient, running every 5 to 10 minutes, and allowed us to explore nearby towns like Oistins and Bridgetown affordably. This ease of access made our daytime and nighttime outings from Hidden Gem effortless. While the coastline in front of the hotel isn’t suitable for swimming, getting to other renowned beaches via local transportation was simple and quick. Additionally, its close proximity to the airport made our departure seamless. Choosing Hidden Gem Barbados was the best decision for our trip. Thank you for a truly wonderful experience – we can’t wait to return!

Hidden Gem!🌺 This hidden paradise has everything you need for a relaxing getaway! The elegant décor of the rooms, top-notch amenities, a safe and secure environment and high-quality services are the prime attractions of this property. However, there are two major aspects that sets Hidden Gem apart from the rest: the attention to detail, which you will observe in every aspect of the experience and the manager, Ameena!! I’ll save the best for last! As soon as you walk through the gates, you are immediately aware that every single aspect; from the beautiful pool area to the upper deck overlooking the ocean, is elegant, stylish, sophisticated and tasteful! Well done! Now! Ameena! I can honestly say, never have I encountered a more thoughtful, compassionate, warm-hearted, caring and patient individual. When the driver pulled up, she was literally waiting outside at the gate to greet me with a beautiful, bright and welcoming smile! It was late and she served me one of the many delicious meals I would have the pleasure of eating at Hidden Gem…all prepared with lots of love (I swear I could taste the love!) by Ameena! Did I mention the breakfasts are to die for?! I could go on and on about her but from my personal experience and based on my observations of her interactions with other guests, Ameena truly makes Hidden Gem a rare and unequaled example of how to create a pleasant and memorable experience that leaves a lasting impression (so much so that I booked another week!)❤️
