"The inn is historic with a grand feel. The room was large and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. Nice hot shower. Clean room. Food and service were great. The staff were professional and personable and made sure that you were happy with your stay. Would definitely return to this inn."

"The place was fine--I don't demand much of a hotel. It is basically a place to sleep. However, more discerning travelers might have been upset by the fact that the supplemental door lock didn't work, one of the shelves in the closed was broken and the one day out of four that we had maid service, they seemed to only half finish the job. They may be very short of staff."

"The hotel was immaculate, the breakfast was excellent and, when we checked in, (we did reserve a room, but it was late evening), we got to choose the floor we wanted to be on and the location of the room even though they had 10 rooms available. I liked having that choice😊 We will stay again.The cost was very good, too."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished, and having a stove and refrigerator along with a separate living/dining room was a definite plus. The 24/7 coffee and hot chocolate machine in the lobby was another perk, as were the hot tub and large (albeit shallow) pool. The setting is lovely, in a wooded area off from the road and in a convenient location to all of the sites. We visited Stockbridge, Lee, Lenox, Great Barrington, North Adams, Williamstown, and...

"The historic Inn is beautifully maintained and updated and provides a unique experience of staying in a home dating back to the 1600's. Breakfast was delicious and Megan the cook was welcoming and helpful. We always stay at the Black Walnut Inn when in Amherst!"

"One of the reasons that I stay at Hampton Inn is because the beds are so incredibly comfortable, and this visit didn't disappoint. But, what stood out about this Hampton Inn was the breakfast. It was amazing! It was seasoned, there was a variety of food, each day, and it was perfectly prepared and executed. The staff was helpful and even brought out almond milk for my daughter. Another big plus was that the staff were all very friendly and helpful."
