"Johanna at the front desk found me an upgraded room because she noticed that there would be a big group around me on NYE who might be “ a bit noisy.” The room was beautiful with a view of the lake and very comfortable, and Bonnie kept it spotless during my stay and was very friendly and kind. I was impressed by the food at the restaurant; the menu is varied and everything I ate there was excellent. They also have a small but good wine list and a large selection of local beer. The breakfast buffet has a variety of choices and is well maintained. The location is convenient and there is parking available. Also close to a bus route and walking distance to Halifax Shopping Centre. Will definitely stay here on future visits to Halifax. "

Evenings were especially fun as we unwound with a marble game—a simple, fun tradition that added a surprisingly charming element to our visit.
