Beyond Basic, Beautiful, Bush Experience

My husband and I stayed at the Kubu Lodge for 11 nights. The staff and owners, Nicole and Manfred, were pleasant, friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautiful and kept clean. Breakfast was a delight every morning with fresh fruit, fresh bread and eggs made to order. The ladies knew my husband liked mushrooms and they made sure he had them on his plate every morning. We ate several dinners there and particularly enjoyed the meals prepared in the boma. We saw many animals as we drove into Hoedspruit everyday. The Kubu Lodge is a peaceful place that calls one to rest and be refreshed.

Wow. Wir durften vier Tage über Weihnachten 2022 in der Kubu Lodge verbringen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist super. Manfred und Nicole haben eine wunderbare Unterkunft erschaffen, die einen den Busch fühlen lässt. Viel Komfort, tolles Essen, aber bodenständig. Der Staff ist super, offen und witzig. Wir haben uns von Sekunde 1 an pudelwohl gefühlt.

N accepté pas les cartes de crédit

Très mauvaise surprise au moment de régler la note le matin du départ : pas de carte bleue possible, pour un montant d environs 6000 zar ... Et rien n était indiqué sur notre réservation. Pas très logique lorsque l'on se fait référencer sur les plateformes web. Pas d accès téléphonique et web limité : seule solution : aller retirer la somme en cash a 20' de là. Près de 1 h de trajet pour pouvoir régler ma note. Bilan : vu le manque de support du propriétaire pour aider a résoudre le problème (qui vient de son refus de permettre les paiements par carte), je déconseille vivement cet établissement.

Muito bom lodge, equipe super atenciosa e prestativa, vale a pena pelo preço, unica coisa que deixou muito a desejar foi do local nao aceitar pagamento em cartao, apenas em dinheiro ou deposito, um lugar que recebe turistas do mundo todo, é inaceitavel que nao aceite nenhum tipo de pagamento em cartao.

Rude Owners

While the physical accommodations were nice the owners were downright rude and unpleasant. It is astonishing how people in the hospitality industry could be so inhospitable.

Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Eigentlich gibt es nichtviel zu kritisieren, das Zimmer war toll, sehr sauber und mit allem Komfort. Die Betreiber haben viele Angebote die Umgebung zu erkunden , Safaris in den Krüger Park bzw in private benachbarte Game Reserves inklusive. Das Essen abends war manchmal etwas zu sehr " Mainstream " und richtet sich nach der Herkunft der Reisegruppen - finde ich schade- wer will schon Rotkohl in Südafrika ? Ansonsten gibt es aber nichts zu meckern, ich würde wieder hinfahren.

Hotel en Afrique du Sud en pleine nature

Lodge au milieu des arbres et d'une reserve privee, pas facile d'acces mais depaysant. La distance par rapport a la ville la plus proche fait que la cuisine de la patronne est un must mais cela reste tres familial et assez basique. A conseiller pour ceux qui veulent vivre pres des reserves et qui ne souhaite pas un trop grand confort.
