"First and foremost, the staff at El Carmen are wonderful, especially Arnold who took care of us from arrival to departure and the staff at breakfast. Our room was lovely, well-appointed and had a fantastic hot shower. We loved having lunch in the courtyard and breakfast on the terrace. The food was really good and well-priced. After 6 weeks in Guatemala, we can say this was our favorite hotel experience."

"This property is simply beautiful. It is in a great location that is walking distance to most things you’ll want to explore but located on a quiet street. We slept very well here. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff is what stood out the most to us. We had a rough travel journey into Antigua due to delays, and lost our luggage. The staff did everything in their power to make us comfortable, and helped us feel at home. They helped us organize our airport transports (even at midnight after encountering serious flight delays) and had great recommendations of things to do nearby. We plan to return to Hotel Casa Santa Rosa in the future. Highly recommend staying here. "

"The property looks exactly like the pictures - so no scam here. Very cute hotel, far enough from the central area to be quiet, and close enough that everywhere is easily reachable within a few minutes. The staff were helpful and friendly overall. The only reason I deducted one star is that the AC would not go below 18°C, so if you’re a cold sleeper, this might be tough."
