"If you're a couple shaking off a long winter, the Sonesta Resort in Hilton Head really delivers. Our room was spacious and thoughtfully laid out — king bed, bistro table, balcony overlooking the pool with a glimpse of the ocean beyond. We loved stepping out there in the morning to take in the salt air. The bathroom was nicely functional: long countertop, excellent water pressure, multiple showerhead settings, and more towels than you'd ever need. The details matter, and they got them right. The resort itself is beautifully designed for both relaxation and activity. Two large, heated pool areas — including an adults-only pool with a hot tub and cushioned lounge chairs — plus a boardwalk to the beach with a foot shower, gas fire pits, a tiki bar, outdoor grille, and a patio that's ideal for a slow breakfast with too many cups of coffee. A provisions store that’s open late rounds out the convenience factor nicely. The staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely accommodating throughout our stay. We had a rental car and made the most of the area — paddleboarding, tennis, hiking a nearby nature preserve, and great dinners out. Golf and bike rentals are easy options too. Pro tip: Skip the $30/half-day beach chair rental. Head to Walmart, grab two chairs for $15 each, use them all week, and pass them along to a fellow guest on your way out. We hope to return. Highly recommend."

"The staff was great. Our room was dated and had cockroaches in the bathroom. They did move us but hard to forget. Restaurant and pool are very nice. Great to be so close to the beach and the Tiki Hut was fun with great music."

"Literally Sucked... wouldn't stay again... the No Staff is one thing but renting the parking lot to 7 plus Tour Busses 4 of which parked outside our door ... a light outside our room lit up the rom like a football stadium... Tour Busses opening cargo doors and starting diesel engines... it was clean ... beds are real hard with little cushion... hot water .. that's it "
