TRYP by Wyndham Savannah Downtown/Historic District
8/10 Good
"Liked the location. Didn't like not having a little breakfast setup. Floors in room seemed a little sandy even after cleaning."

Aloft by Marriott Savannah Downtown Historic District
10/10 Excellent
"There was a slight mix up with our room prior to arriving, but the front desk staff went above and beyond to fix the error, and remembered our name throughout our stay — giving us 5-star treatment. It was our first stay at an Aloft property. The room was nice, clean and … much like a loft without walls to the ceiling. The decor was modern and attractive. This particular location was very convenient to the amenities in Savannah we were there for. Overall, it was a great experience. Highly recommend it. Great value for the price. Will be back."

Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island
8/10 Good
"The location is good. It’s family friendly. The room could have been better. There was a smell in the bathroom, the water pressure made it hard to wash off in the shower, and there was a mold smell coming from the ac vent. We stayed at the pool one day due to too much wind on the beach and we had a difficult time getting food at the pool in the afternoon. Overall I would probably find somewhere else to stay if we were to return."

River Street Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Great location to walk to everything you need. The daily happy hour was fantastic as well."

Palmera Inn and Suites
6/10 Okay
"The noises were one of the few complaints. The noise that the wall-ac unit had, was sporadic and quiet loud and disruptive. Central air is a major investment, but the wall unit is a real downer at night in sleeping hours. Does the pool open too early? We had a family of screaming kids outside our window at 7-8 am. Really? The room was clean and bed was nice. Bathroom was nice too but it could use a "night-light". Many hotels have one. Also, every hotel I've been to in the last few years has soap dispensers (body, shampoo, conditioner) right on the shower wall tiles. A little soap bar wrapped in paper seems very "old-school" now. But it's not the worst thing. Finally, while we generally enjoyed staying there, our first impression walking into the Inn halls was of a rather "stale" smell. We got used to it after 3 nights. The elevator was even worse. It wasn't that pleasant at all. Useful, yes, but not a good experience. It's not the best to have that the first experience before even entering the room. We had our fingers crossed tightly that our room wouldn't be as bad. But the room was nice. And it did not have that "musty" smell that the hall and especially the elevator had. We'd come back. The price was a little high based on quality. Breakfast is a good thing to keep. Not spectacular but very well kept and more important to the guests than most hotels realize, imo."
