Small, family-run complex
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome and cared for. The family that owns the complex goes out of their way to ensure that you have an excellent stay - offering advice on things to do in the area, stopping to chat and generally treating residents as friends. The apartments themselves are exceptionally clean, and provide all you could need for a relaxing holiday. There was a flat screen TV in our room (although we didn't even switch it on as we were far more interested in what Crete had to offer) as well as a small kitchen area that fulfilled our catering needs - although local Greek food is always better than anything I could muster! There was a BBQ on the Sunday evening that was well attended and, once again, demonstrated the outstanding hospitality of the owners. There is also a garden area at the rear of the apartments from which residents are encouraged to sample produce. The apartments are a 10/15 min walk to the beach/bars/restaurants and a 5 min taxi ride (8 euros) to Old Hersonissos. I have recommended these apartments to friends and family and would definitely stay again the next time I'm in Crete.
