"Winterstoke is a HUGE house with 4 massive double bedrooms and a large twin room. This does not feel like a holiday rental, it feels like a home. I have never stayed in a property that is so well appointed, every detail is covered. The quality of the house is really fantastic and incredibly comfortable. The back garden is lovely with a great area for entertaining, unfortunately it was freezing so we could not make use of it. We had a baby with us and the owner (sheila) had EVERYTHING...

"Clean airy room, they had plenty of towels and clean bedding. They had put the trundle bed out ready which I thought was nice. They had ample parking which was really useful. The room had some aspects which felt a little cheap, the kettle wouldn’t shut properly, the sink wouldn’t unplug, which was annoying when brushing our teeth, and the curtains nearly fell from the wall when trying to close them."

"We arrived late at night tired hot and hungry.Staff was very welcoming and we were amazed to find they serve freshly made pizza 24 hrs and their bar was open..the cold beer was wonderful.Room great with very good ac which isnt always the case in UK. Next day staff rescued us by getting us a reliable taxi to London when our ride service cancelled us at last minute. Location in old section of Canterbury is perfect. Every single staff member was wonderful. Highly recommend!"

"Nice room but bit noisy looking on high street with vehicles and drunks playing music opposite for a while - as no double glazing / sound proofing. Air conditioning unit leaked water onto table and wet belongings but managed to dry out overnight. Breakfast was okay but continental and not much choice and no ham / cheese / pastries as would be expected. Extra charge for cooked English breakfast / Eggs Royale etc at £10 was too much - we were only charged extra £3 for this at a 5 star hotel we stayed at after this…. Parking at £25 per night is way too expensive and used castle street parking for only £29 fo 2 days there."

"Lovely hotel near beach but air con was not switched on when arriving on very hot day, so room was very hot and took a while to cool it down, also air conditioning was too cold in living room but not cold enough in bedroom. Breakfast was good with just a little extra charge for Eggs Royale which was fine. Lovely views from room of beachfront"

"Very nice, older- but kept up Hilton hotel. The Standard room, double bed, is quaint (small to Americans traveling with large suitcases). We juet have carryons & 2 backpacks, so it’s not bad. Very clean! It’s exactly what we needed before our cruise! You can book your taxi for the next day when you check in with the front desk. We’re in room 105- The Bathroom was nice, a towel warmer, nice size shower. Our sink spays water everywhere- so becareful if you’re already dressed!!! We must be near the kitchen 😬- it was Very noisy until 12:30-1am AND started bavk up again 5:30-6am, the smell of toast filled the room and the sounds of dishes clanking and being moved all over, amojg other very loud sounds- is still going on, at 11:30 when we checked out. Not sure if I got this luxurious- sounding room because I booked on Expedia- or just got lucky!also, If you book on Expedia, ensure you can pull up the reservation- the staff will need to double-check if you paid already or not. There are restaurants here and a bar you can go to. You can make reservations with the front desk in advance or see if there’s a place at the bar! For dining- advance reservations recommended; Breakfast (buffet): 6:30 AM - 10:00 AM Starbucks & snacks: from 7:00 AM * Wheelers Fish & Chips: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM * Afternoon Tea: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM Mr. White's Chophouse (dinner): 5:00 PM - 9:30 PM Churchill Bar: open till late Or, you can go walk around town! Everything is very close!!"
