"Hotels.com is taking part in a scam. On May 19th I attempted to book a room in Bedford, Indiana. When I went inside to check in, I was shocked to find out that I didn't have a reservation, and the hotel was completely booked for the night. I went back to my vehicle and checked the Hotels website to try to figure out what the problem was. Somehow, the app changed May 19th to May 26th, likely because the 19th was already filled up. Did I choose the refundable option? No, I was at the hotel when I booked the room on the app, what could go wrong? Do I need to stay at this hotel on May 26th? No! I will be working on May 26th. So I was out $146.05 and I had to drive all the way home. I'd been driving all day, I was very tired, it was raining, I just wanted a good night's sleep. But, no! No sleep for me. This seems very unfair to me, and I feel like the app is just trying to make a couple extra bucks and the expense and inconvenience of its customers. I believe a class action lawsuit might be a reasonable solution to this problem."
