This is an eco like Homestay in the middle of picturesque rice fields surrounded by mountains in an area with numerous others. I'm super happy to have picked this one. Accomodations are modest (shared showers and restrooms) but the large family owned farm offers great meals with foods from their property, from vegetables to meats, and are extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them!
Lovely one night stay at Maya Boutique Hotel. The receptionist was so lovely and gave us great recommendations for Hanoi and Cat Ba island (our next destination). Good central location in the old quarter - would stay here again.
The hotel is a tiny boutique hotel and the staff and team are so friendly especially the owner. She’s so accommodating. It’s just in a very busy location which is expected if visiting Hanoi. Lovely breakfast!
The location is the best and breakfast was really good, we enjoyed it very much. Staff and manager were very lovely, truly hospitality service we have been given. Special thanks to Maci, Jimin, Alec and highly recommend it!
David and Vi and all of the staff were amazing & so helpful! They were the sweetest, hardest working group of individuals we met in Hanoi. The hotel is old and small as its in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, but overall kept very clean. At night, we hung out in the dining area after our long days. Directly across was a pho ga run by a Vietnamese auntie and uncle and man i sure miss her pho ga, so plain but so delicate and delicious, broth is so clean too! I ate if not once, twice a day there and that was pretty much my meals for the day. Hope you will visit America David & Vi. It was great getting to know you and thanks for your hospitality!

Great Service with a Few Facilities Hiccups
Let me start out by saying that Mrs. Ty was WONDERFUL. She spent time with us giving great suggestions on things to do. She and ALL HER STAFF provided impeccable service for our entire trip.
And the location is spectacular! Close to all the things we wanted to experience in Old Quarter.
We had two rooms. One was a Deluxe Double (606). This room had significant problems with wifi the whole 3 days we were there. The staff tried to fix it, but to no avail. Also on two of the three days the shower in this room was lukewarm. The other room, Jr suite with a balcony (808), just had just a few hiccups on the wifi. Had to keep using the wifi of other rooms.
The elevator went out of order on our last day but the staff communicated it right away and helped me by bringing my luggage down from the eighth floor.
Very close to the main street to the airport. If carrying heavy loads, try not to stay on 8 or higher floor as the elevator goes up to 7th floor. Very friendly and helpful staff
This lovely hotel is hiding behind a small backstreet entrance in old town area of Hanoi. The rooms are really clean and have everything you need for a few nights stay. The staff are friendly and helpful and the location is perfect for exploring Hanoi. Would definitely recommend this place.
No frills but good place if looking for an acceptable accommodation to enjoy the Old Quarter. Staff was helpful in setting up an excursion to Ninh Binh that came in a bit cheaper than a comparable excursion we looked at online.

We loved the staff, if you like downtown life this is the place to go. Right in the middle of the old quarter, crazy traffic, lots of people, noisy and tons of shopping. The rooms are older but clean and like most Asian beef hard.

Most helpfull staff in a long time
Maya Boutique Hotel is well located, clean and comfortable - everything my gf and I were looking for.
What really made our day though, was the most helpfull staff throughout our stay, and even beyond. From the moment we arrived until three nights after we actually checked out, they were doing everything to make our stay in Hanoi a great experience. Thank you very much.
Room was okay and clean but overall nothing special for the price.
Breakfast was okay, very simple.
Worst part is noise - extremely loud street all night, windows don't block any noise. You hear even the elevator all night as it is a very narrow building. Don't expect a good night sleep if you are a light sleeper.
After prolonged problems in transit, Maya Boutique Hotel offered a dependable sanctuary where we could rest and recover. The staff was understanding of our plight and made the compassionate decision to waive the change fee when we could not make the first night of our reservation.
We were moved to see the same two or three familiar faces, over and over, working shifts at hours godly and otherwise. One evening, we tiptoed back from a midnight meal to see the gently sleeping form of the receptionist on the lobby couch. My partner described the image as “visceral”, representative of a culture of self-sacrifice. So too did I feel deeply grateful towards the staff for their work ethic and tireless service. As for the property itself, the hotel is situationally ideal and walking distance from all the animated markets and street scenes for which Hà Nội is famous. A steal, though almost too comfortable to be considered budget travel! Don’t hesitate to book; Maya deserves the support.
