A big thank you to the staff for making our stay very comforting.
Kim and Lou are the most helpful concierge that we have ever come across and are very knowledgeable about their hotel and surroundings.
Right in the centre of the old quarter Walking distance to all attractions and plenty of choices for eating and shopping. Hotel is a little dated and small but had the family room we were looking for. Staff were wonderful and friendly. Breakfast is not great but with so many options close by it really onky somewhere to grab some tiast before heading out for a Pho
Excellent property. Zero issues and the staff are extremely friendly and went that extra mile to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. Best hotel ever!! Ask for Kim, she is the best!!

It’s close to old town tourist attraction, restaurants and shopping. Good breakfast. Rooms definitely need to be updated especially bathroom. Old floor tiles hand held shower head needed replacing. Garden roof top should have a bar.
A great little hotel right in amongst the hustle and bustle of central Old Quarter. Rooms are clean, we had a balcony room that faced the street.. yes it was loud and noisy but that’s to be expected. Staff were great, breakfast was average. 10/10 for location!
Gem of a boutique/historic hotel in heart of Hanoi's old quarter. Comfy beds, beautiful historical accents in rooms, great buffet breakfast served daily. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars, spas. Staff are wonderful. They will help you with just about anything you need. Balconies look out over cafes by day, fun to watch, but it turns into beer street at night, like a frat party. Very loud with karaoke all night. Rooms have earplugs to help drown out the nightly chaos. Pool looked like it needed cleaning - no jets running, so we didn't use it. This was one of our favourite stays during our 3 weeks traveling across Vietnam, and would stay again despite the noisy location, because we loved the vintage feel and how lovely the staff was.
The hotel is in midst of the pub area, very noisy.if you have a roadside/balcony room. The hotel apologizes for it, provides ear plugs, or is happy to "downgrade" to a interior room with no view -lol. If like us, you just go party till don't care, not a prob! Bed was rock hard: hotel provided extra comforter immediately when requested. So super good staff! Our only isse was it was a bit outdated and dark for the price. Pool area was dark and dinghy. Spa services double from elsewhere.
This is a wonderful hotel to stay at in Hanoi. The location in the old quarter is excellent. The staff at the hotel is one of the most helpful I have ever experienced anywhere. Truly lonely people.
I am unlucky and got a stint room. My friend room is alright. The smell is from the toilet plumbing system and the entire bedroom is full of this smell. The tour lady at the front desk os helpful and recommended us some good tours around Hanoi City via the tuktuk or tricycle.
Firstly we didn't get a triple room as booked and the other dlx room wt balcony wch cos higher was advised not to be taken as facing street wt a club so it will be noisy. So why charge higher for this room.? The WiFi is only available at the reception and not in the rooms. The saving grace was the reception staffs who could communicate in English and was helpful. This is a fairly nrw hotel so the condition is stll good overall.
Location great
Hospitality great
Room’s very good
Staff very friendly especially Kim and Tung.
The only part I didn’t like was breakfast
Not much to choose from
But more the breakfast staff most not all but the main breakfast staff couldn’t be bothered or looked like they wanted to be there very disappointed in breakfast staff.
But if you want breakfast as soon as you go out the doors there’s plenty to choose from.
Would i return Yes I would breakfast isn’t that much of an issue to stop me.
Cheers and thank you Kim and Tung for a great stay

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT A BALCONY ROOM.
We had booked and paid for a balcony room.
As soon as we stepped foot in Nostalgia we were immediately confronted by two ladies on reception not to take the balcony room as we'd find the noise from the night club/karaoke opposite unbearable. We were shown the room at the back of the hotel over looking roof tops which didn't have the balcony, (there was a small outdoor area for smoking shared with the room next door)
Pressure was applied to choose between the noisy room at the front of the hotel with the balcony or peaceful room at the back because apparently other guests were arriving soon and we needed to decide before their arrival. We were a bit perplexed as to why it was acceptable for the "other guest due to arrive" to have the noisy room?
After having sat in reception deciding which room we should take, with the staff continuously telling us the quiet room is better, we took the quiet room.
Well first and foremost the 2 nights that we stayed at Nostalgia we returned back to the hotel at 11.30pm after having enjoyed the crazy street scenes. The night club and Karaoke bar WERE NOT OPEN on both Friday night or Saturday night. We were specifically told they were open until 2am. Clearly this was untrue.
I suspect the "other guests" wanted the balcony room so the staff duped us into taking the quiet room, and why Nostalgia are you selling balcony rooms on your website if they are inhabitable?
Breakfast was poor too.

Rent rum. Utmärkt frukost
4 adults (two parents and two adult sons) enjoyed staying in this nice hotel. Right in the middle of the old quarter, very close to the main nightlife, with restaurants, bars, and shops all within a short walk. Could be noisy if you were at the front of the hotel at the weekend, but the better rooms were at the back - larger and more comfortable. Breakfast buffet was decent. The concierge came to our rescue when a tour we were booked on was cancelled at the last minute; the tour that she arranged was not that much more expensive and was private for us so we could adjust the time spent at each stage. We were able to book a half day in a room at the end of our stay which was cheaper than an airport lounge and meant we could shower before getting to the airport. The pool was quite nice, not very big and quite cold, but refreshing after a hot walk around Hanoi. Staff were so quite friendly and many spoke good English. I would stay here again. Note that the road is closed on Fri Sat Sun evenings so taxis will only pick up and drop off nearby (5 - 10 minute walk)
