Small motel that serves its purpose. We have stayed a few times. Everything is in walking distance. The rooms and bathrooms are on the smaller side but cozy. Friendly front desk. Nice stay.

Stayed for a quick overnight for a concert. Honest review….. Location was OK, a little sketchy after dark. Rooms were very small, bathroom tiny. Dated property- chipped paint, old furniture, heat was hard to control. Door’s blinds didn’t even cover the windows fully (we had to hang a blanket). Walls are very thin… if on first floor, be prepared to hear every footstep above you (until well past 1am, for us). Price was still high for off season, but location was convenient. Will say that the bed was very good quality and it was nice to have a smart TV in room.

Had a wonderful stay at the Blue Jay Motel! Cute and clean accommodations with a lovely porch. Very close to the beach and restaurants. The owner was very helpful and friendly, and ensured all our needs were met during our stay. Excellent experience and will definitely stay again.

We had a great stay at the Blue Jay Motel. There is a new owner, Terry, who was super friendly and is renovating the property. It was great for the value, very affordable and great location, easy walk to beach. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and accommodating and checked our needs during the visit. You can tell they care about your visit. Would stay again. Also great deck and sitting area to hang at outside the 2nd floor rooms.

Dirty Sheets and Slanting Floor…

Could not stay here! There were stains and hairs on the bed sheets. Smoke alarm had been taken out. Dead fly in corner near shower. The whole room slanted noticeably downward! The bathroom was so tiny that when you tried to open the door it would hit the shower stall. The woman at the desk left for the night as soon as we checked in. So we left the keys in room and high-tailed it out of there!
