Ham Ninh Fishing Village

Our experience at Venice Hotel Phu Quoc was mixed, with both positives and clear areas that need improvement. Although the hotel upgraded our room to one with a better view, which we appreciated, the floors throughout the entire hotel were very dirty. It honestly felt like the floors were not being cleaned regularly, which affected the overall impression of cleanliness. We also had to deal with ants in our bedroom for one day. While the staff did fix the issue once it was reported, the situation itself is not something you expect from a hotel aiming for a higher standard. The hotel is really worth it if your main goal is to enjoy the night show, especially if you manage to get a room on the fourth or fifth floor with a beach view, that part of the experience is truly enjoyable. Another major downside was the very strong and unpleasant odor coming from the street drains, which the hotel seriously needs to address, as it impacts both comfort and first impressions. In terms of location, the hotel is far if you plan to explore the north of the island, but it is very convenient for Sun World experiences, so this depends on your travel plans. Service-wise, it felt inconsistent. About 50% of the staff were extremely professional, while the other 50% were not. One morning at 8:00 a.m., we requested two beach towels and waited over 20 minutes, only to be told they had just one towel available, which was very inefficient and frustrating.

A beautiful gem in Phu Quoc! We stayed 5 nights over new years and could not have had a better holiday! The private beach is incredible - white soft sand, tons of beach loungers, hammocks and swings for lazy days in the sun. The infinity pool is wonderful and refreshing and overlooks the beach. Sunsets at this property are epic - some of the best we’ve seen in SE Asia! We loved swimming out to the floats everyday on the water and using the paddle boards. The rooms are very spacious and rustic style with a lovely outdoor shower and large/comfy balcony. The buffet breakfast at hotel is wonderful with a huge spread of food. The staff are so lovely, helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to throw us an enjoyable New Year’s Eve party. We were pleased to win one of the lucky draws for a couples massage at the hotel - it was SO relaxing and lovely! The location is awesome. Lots of delicious food at the restaurants in the nearby town along with enjoyable massage places, we often went exploring via our scooter. Highly recommend checking out the bee farm - it’s so well run! It would have been nice if there was a gym to use at the hotel. The a la carte menu is a bit limited for food and drinks, so we often ate local Vietnamese food nearby in the town. Highly recommend this property - hoping to come back again soon with our family!
