The hotel room was large and clean for the price, and the food was very good.
And the tram station is right nearby, so it's easy to get to tourist attractions.
Excellent property in the hot spring district. Right next to public transportation ( train ). In house hot spring was very good, breakfast and traditional Japanese seafood dinner were excellent as well. Would happily come back.
Amazing hotel, you can enjoy the traditional side of Japan with great hot springs in traditional clothing or eat delicious meals on a high quality level. Most of the staff speaks and understands English very well. One of our most rememberable nights on our 3 weeks tour through Japan.
An excellent hotel with clean, traditional Japanese-style rooms. The service was outstanding, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The location is very convenient, being just a short distance from major public transportation hubs. Additionally, the hotel features lovely public hot springs, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
We loved the Onsen experience at the hotel! We experienced the ryokan setup at the hotel and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good with lots of variety. The outside Onsen has nice view.
The staff couldn't do more for you. Ushered to front desk and personally taken to the room and everything explained..
Room was beautiful. Futon very comfortable.
Top floor onsen and several onsen on the bottom floor.
Breakfast was plentiful.
I'd stay again.
Big & clean room, car park included, staffs are helpful & Chinese speaking, onsen at ground floor is very nice, breakfast & dinner with many choices. Reasonable price
We booked the room with private onsen. The staff was attentive and amazing. Everyone was very helpful and hospitable. The hotel itself is a bit more dated, however it was ver clean. The private onsen was just what we needed, since we were too shy to use the public ones.
Traditional hotel with timber floors. Rooms have tatami floors and it consists of male and female onsens. Parking is adjacent to the property, convenient if you are exploring Hakodate in a car.
1. The outdoor onsen spa.
2. The room is very spacious
3. The futon is super good and there are many pillows for us to choose
4. The futaka is so beautiful
5. Breakfast is awesome!
Wonderful ryokan hotel with great breakfast and kaiseki dinners. 5 of us stayed two nights in a comfortable big tatami room. We called in advance and they were able to accommodate one vegan kaiseki dinner for one of us. The Onsen furo was wonderful with few big tubs / semi outdoor tubs. Staff were very nice and friendly. They have multilingual staff. Gift shop downstairs was fun to browse and pick up great local snacks/souvenirs. Very convenient to a local train stop for sightseeing, nit with luggage, we got taxis to/from JR Hakodate station for less than ¥1,500 (yay no tipping !) would highly recommend staying here for your visit to this part of Hokkaido, close to city, onsen and Ryokan experience. Rec visit - Onuma national park and rent a bike. Go into Hakodate, ropeway to Hakodate Mt observatory. Enjoy squid sashimi!

The hotel is a bit old and cleanliness can be improved. Staff were friendly and helpful, lot of parking space and free parking are pros.
