A bit tired, but clean and comfortable
Very friendly staff. We ate at the hotel both nights of our stay and the 3 course menu was excellent value at 15 euros, with soup or salad to start, meat or fish main course and a choice of desserts. The room itself was a good size but fixtures and fittings were a bit tired and dated with a tan and orange theme. There were some small holes in the inner curtains, and these curtains were falling off the fittings at one end. The bedding and towels, however, were spotless and the bed was comfortable. The location is a short drive from town (11 minutes) and there is a good park for jogging a 5 minute drive away. Overall a quiet location and a good value hotel.

A bit strange
This hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. It's in a good location, close to both the motorway and the city. There are a few bakeries, cafés and restaurants within walking distance. There's ample parking, too. When I arrived, they didn't even mention the spa, which is a bit weird. I'd been driving for about 3 days, so would quite happily have used it, but there was no info at reception and none in the room. The staff at the bar and restaurant were fantastic throughout and able to make great recommendations. Food and drink options at breakfast and dinner, as well as bar snacks, were excellent. The room was ok. Spacious, but a bit on the old side. I don't mind that generally, but the mattress was VERY soft, so not great for back health and the aircon was that old centrally connected kind which is simultaneously really noisy and totally ineffective at cooling the room. I ended up propping the balcony door open with a cushion, so as not to bake. There was lots of signage about being eco friendly, but the eco button had been removed from the toilet.

The room is comfortable. There is a fully equipped gym, plus a pool, sauna, and steam room. The prix fixe dinner was delicious and at a very good price. The buffet breakfast was huge and good quality.

Great Hotel - Super great Value !
Great Hotel - Super great Value ! Comfortable rooms and good restaurant. Food is good, not great but prices and convenience were important to us. Hotel is located in a remote location but we had a car so no real inconvenience for us.

Great hotel close to motorway
The Lusitania was a fantastic hotel - we chose to stay there as it was on our route up from Estoril to the ferry at Bilbao. The staff were brilliant - and the dinner and breakfast excellent.

Good hotel for South/North journey
Good clean and comfortable hotel, for journey break from Algarve to Santander. Staff helpful and good. Guarda has an interesting historical area, quite a climb but worth it.

For my first trip to Portugal this was a great location close to the Serra De Estrela national park and Linhares castle and other historic sites in a beautiful setting. I can't fault the hotel. A very enjoyable stay.

An excellent Hotel with excellent facilities. The evening meal we ate at the Hotel was of a very high quality and the cost was most reasonable. The hotel is 6km from the centre of town and this is the only drawback. The staff were most attentive and kind. We would recommend the hotel highly.

One night stop
Just a stop on our drive from Lisbon to Salamanca, Spain. We arrived around 10pm and left early the next morning, so we couldn't enjoy the pool. The restaurant served excellent food and the waitresses were extremely nice. Only cons were the location (too far from center) and that the room has no coffee/tea maker. Breakfast was very good.

A great place for me to stay over, en route to Cascais. A comfortable well presented hotel with great staff, albeit a little quiet. Easy access from the A23 and A25. I will be staying there again on my return journey to the UK

Too loud
Big party in the hall until 11:40pm with music very loud, I complained but they did nothing. The heating was too strong so I had to keep open the windows in winter.
