Not often a hotel ticks all the boxes with top marks, but this one does. Great food, hilarious barman (Anno), room was great and the reception guys were fab too. 10/10 in my book... My favourite hotel this year, easily.

The people working there are friendly and helpful. We were a bit late for breakfast and the lady working there very kindly made up some food for us. The breakfast is good and varied. It's a bit off the beaten track being a 25 or so minute walk to the centre although there is a bus nearby that runs to town every 20 minutes. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Just what I needed for a work trip. Room clean and quiet, breakfast and dinner provided if required. Also a few basic restaurants and shops nearby. Staff very helpful. Only downside was the hairdryer didn't work but was able to use one in another room.

The mercure at martini plaza is a great hotel, good staff, very helpfull, good restaurant, quiet rooms, all facilities. On 10 min cycling to centre or by bus. Great high quality hotel.

The only complaints would be that the showers are very small (mine leaked heavily) and the carpets need a serious steam cleaning. Otherwise all linens and surfaces where clean and very friendly staff. Oh and a very nice breakfest.

Hotel mercure near martini plaza groningen is a great place to stay near main office of gasunie en near city, easy to reach from highway. The reception personnel is very kind and helpful. The bar has some good dishes, and good wine service. All in all good for business people and tourists.

Needs updating, far from town center

Staff were professional and polite. Hotel is dated, I'm not sure how it has 4 stars, maybe they were achieved in the '80s, it certainly isn't a 4* hotel now. Hotel is in an area with very few restaurants nearby, or any other facilities other than the MartiniPlaza event space. A walk into town would be 40 mins, so if you are planning on going into Groningen, I'd recommend a Taxi

No restaurant service on weekends, but breakfast available each day. Housekeeping every three days unless you request additional help. Breakfast was extensive and on par with other European hotels. Parking would have been easy, but as a pedestrian the hotel is a good 20 minutes to half an hour walk from the center of town. There is an extensive bus service which I didn't use.
