Good value well located hotel
Very well located hotel, very close to archeology museum and short walk to Venetian harbour and other attractions. V friendly and helpful staff , generous buffet breakfast V nice roof top pool

Excellent location for walking, shopping, sightseeing,transfers to airport and bus. Excellent breakfast included. Rooftop bar/dining available. Bring earplugs for the best nights sleep but the convenience makes the noise bearable.

great hotel
Very nice hotel within a 10 minute walk from the port or a 25 min Taxi ride from airport 14 Euro's. Friendly staff, great room. Just a tip don't pay extra for a balcony. its not worth it. Breakfast was fantastic, everything you could ask for in a breakfast. The roof top swimming pool and staff was outstanding. Very surprised at the prices for food and drink. Wasn't overinflated at all, which is unusually.

Nice hotel with great roof top pool with lots of deck chairs, towel service, and a bar! Also really nice breakfast buffet included with your room. Comfy room with beautiful view from balcony. Enjoyed our stay very much!

Had a great experience. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice and the pool and bar were great. Property was across from a park, walking distance from center. I will return.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We arrived on the boat from Pireaus at 7 in the morning and, even though we knew our rooms wouldn't be ready, they invited us to partake in the daily breakfast

Front desk people all very friendly and helpful. Valet parking very handy. We had a corner suite on the top floor that was the best room in the hotel so we were spoiled with a large suite, separate dining/living room and large bedroom and bathroom. Balcony wrapped around 2 sides. Shopping started a few steps out the door. This suite only had a shower in a tub which was high to step into. Not suitable for elderly or others with mobility problems. Perhaps ask if other rooms have a walk in shower. Have returned this hotel due to great front staff and location - very close to port- even walkable and not too far from airport.

Great home base in Heraklion
The location is excellent for catching the bus to Knossos, the museums, and the walking areas for tourists. Terrific breakfasts and the pool/pool bar situation is really nice. Check-in and -out was very smooth. The room cleaning was a little weak and one of our air conditioners wasn't really working well. Very quiet though for a busy area.

My stay at the Capsis Astoria was good. The check-in process was easy and the staff were very friendly. The room felt safe and was comfortable, despite smelling kind of funny. The room decor was outdated, but this didn’t bother us so much for a one night stay. The location was fabulous, easy to walk around everywhere and right in the centre of the city. Check out was also really easy, and the staff were very helpful in helping us get to the bus station, giving directions and providing a taxi.

The concierge was very nice, as was everyone in reception. Room was lovely, so was breakfast. Recommend everything but the crazy narrow streets if you are driving and trying to park. Save yourself the headache and pay for valet. Just stop in front of hotel and run in to reception with your car keys.

This is a good hotel. The room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The roof top pool and restaurant was great. The morning breakfast buffet had lots of options to chose from. Overall the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is very central and walkable. We were able to walk to the hotel from the ferry port in 15 minutes. Restaurants and shopping were just steps away. Buses and taxis are available right outside. The only disappointment was the cleanliness of the rooms. They didn't do a very good job cleaning the room, especially the bathroom each day. For a high end hotel, the cleaning did not match the rest of the hotel. Having said that, I would consider staying there again because of all the other good things it had. I did enjoy my stay and overall it's a good hotel.

Location Location Location! This hotel is centrally located. Only 10 mins from the airport. We rented a car and went to both sides of the island. The staff was friendly and helpful. The valet service was great. The downside was that it took 20 mins to get the car from valet but that’s a small price to pay for not worrying about parking. The room was a great size but the bed was hard and not very comfortable. Overall it’s a good hotel and would recommend.

Stayed there for a night due to an early ferry the next days. Certainly not a 4 star hotel (although I wasn't expecting that from the photographs). They had some youth sports team at the hotel and it was insanely loud and they blocked off the gym for a few hours without informing us at check in. Pool was closed, rooms were dirty, shower was dirty. Good location though. Would not recommend.

It was in the middle of everywhere. The port and the Bus station are in walking distance. You will be in the middle of the shopping area. Not to mention the breakfast, excellent variety of food. However, some doors needs maintenance as some of entrance doors are not easy to open with the card key.
