"Our stay at Veranda Hotel Grand Baie was unfortunately not as enjoyable as we had hoped. Our apartment was located at the very back of the property, quite a long walk from the main facilities. There was also no lift, which wasn't mentioned when we made the booking. Carrying luggage up the stairs and walking such a distance was very inconvenient, especially after travelling. "The rooms are quite worn and would benefit from refurbishment, and there was some mould visible on the bathroom sealant, which was disappointing. Overall cleanliness could be improved, especially in the bathroom areas. The hotel is next to a very noisy street, and the windows are not soundproof enough, so you can hear almost every car, van, or lorry passing by, which makes it hard to relax.
