"Upon arrival, a manager was yelling at a staff member at the front desk about his poor job performance. Despite me standing there for a few minutes - he did not stop berating the employee and I chose to leave the lobby until he stopped. It made the whole place feel unsafe for me and my daughter. Parking was easy, the pool looked nice though it wasn't swimming weather. Our room was generally clean, but walls and other deep cleaning spots were dirty. The location however wasn’t ideal for people who want to explore Santa Barbara (however it is great for people visiting near by college). We wish we stayed downtown Santa Barbara where all the fun things are: wineries, restaurants, museums. "

"Nice resort overall. The property itself is beautiful, and the pool areas are very nice. One downside was the spa access—specifically the sauna and steam room—which costs an additional $45 per day. Given the nightly rate, I would have expected these amenities to be included rather than an extra charge. Unfortunately, our bedroom had a leaking AC unit, which was disappointing. That said, the staff handled it well and waived both the parking and resort fees, which felt like a fair resolution....
