"This resort is perfectly located a cross the street from Vetta Spa. We have stayed at this resort 10 + times due to the convenient proximity to the Spa, the staff is always wonderful. they are always so friendly and accommodating. we love the outdoor fire pit and Muskoka chairs. our only complaint is,... it's a little out dated. it could use some minor renovations just to spruce it up a bit. but over all the rooms are all very spacious with kitchenets ( mini fridge, microwave, tea kettle, coffee maker, dishes and utensils) sofa, table and 4 chairs and a cute balcony with 2 Muskoka chairs to enjoy your morning coffee. the beds are always very comfy. we've always had great sleep here. in the Winter time ( ski season) you can watch the skiers from your balcony witch is very cool. I highly recommend staying here and checking out Vetta spa, and if you like high quality food at a gorgeous restaurant where the chef is world renowned, then make reservations at " The Ktchn". the food is heavenly and it's about 13 min drive from the resort. price wise it's comparable to Then Keg."

"The Briar Resort is very charming & quaint. It has a lot of history & character. We had an excellent salmon dinner our first night & daily breakfasts were good. It was disappointing that the pool & hot tub were not working. There were no spa services available. No communication in advance by the resort or Expedia was given about this."
