Great room size, plenty of space. Comfy bed and dark room. This room was above the Irish Pub so was definitely noisy but the windows did a good job of blocking most of the street noise. Staff were lovely and helpful, easy walk to the train station.
Great location, not too far from the train station and easy walk to old town sights. Large room, a little dated, air con issues for a while which was annoying, but they resolved it.
The hotel itself was fine but the area is sketchy and hectic. Parking and traffic is a nightmare. Probably safe but who know’s. Seems like lots of university kids. Don’t eat the 9 euro buffet down the street. Not exactly proper temp. And pretty sure it gave us the runs for a day.
The location is great, very close to the Piazza Principe railway station and main streets with numerous palaces under UNESCO protection. Genova is an amazing historic maritime Republic, definitely worth visiting.
My room was not as difficult to navigate as the one I had on my visit the week before. There was only one step up (into the bathroom) rather than also having a step up into the room. The bed fit the size of the room better and there was a desk and chair.
Reception person was on the phone for several minutes while I stood ready to ask questions. I turned to look at brochures and finally went into dining room--still no acknowledgement of me and still chatting away on the same, apparently personal, call. After several more minutes I returned to stand at the counter in front of the coffee/espresso machine and continued to wait until the call was ended and I could ask for a cappucino.
