Seafront luxury

We arrived just before sunset to this beautifully landscaped seafront villa. After check-in we walked 7 min past an old watchtower down to a public sand beach that we had entirely to ourselves, it was an amazing experience. The property offers a lot; a big pool, big sun deck, padle, access to the tower and public beach which for all intents felt like a private beach just for us. We loved talking with the kind staff. Maria made us delicious breakfasts with pastries and uova strapazzate before we headed out on our daily road-trip adventures. Our room was very clean and modern, it felt luxurious.

Rarely do I feel compelled to post a review. Gela was a destination I had been planning on visiting on my travels throughout Sicily. I had planned to visit 2 of my favorite wineries in Vittoria and found the Villa Ares - a gem, superior staff, immaculate and a professionally run establishment. Luigi and Rita were one of a kind hosts and Evelina and Maria took great care of us, I can’t wait to come back home to Sicily, Gela and Villa Ares.

Everything was great. Even though I rated it excellent, I sadly wouldn’t book this location again because of the bed. It’s the very reason a guest books an accommodation is to sleep for the night. A foam mattress style bed offers little support. Beautiful place but a cheap bed really makes no sense.
