"The people and place were welcoming and helpful. From dealing with a medical emergency to finding a last minute ride to the airport, our hosts could not have been more lovely. They accommodated us more then enough and treated us like family/close friends. We loved our down time at the villa in the swimming pool and on the amazing verandas, and strolling the streets of the village throughout the day was peaceful and picturesque. "Terrific. Comfy simple room with balcony (or terrace). All you really need, and a great price. We stayed here our first two nights, and then returned for our last three nights on Crete. It was convenient to the HER airport for our car and flights. Rooms vary depending on directions and weather ground floor, 1, or 2 floors higher. Our first had a view to the ocean. Our second, a view of the pool. Five minute walk to be at Hersonissos restaurants and shops. Can walk easily around town and along...

Top Galipe Hotel Reviews

Athina Palace Resort & Spa

Athina Palace Resort & Spa

8/10 Good
"Hotel is quite a distance from Heraklion town. There is a daily bus, Monday to Saturday only. Fares are reasonable. Approx 4 Euros per person. On the 9am service you must come back on the 2pm bus. The second service is 2:45pm you are able to get to town, but are responsible for finding your way back to hotel after this. Taxi fare is approximately 40 euros. The hotel scenery is good. As it is a village style, there is a handy mini bus that can take you to and from the various amenities. Recommend sea view rooms and all inclusive package. Dining room - Spacious and clean with plenty of delicious food options. Found staff were friendly, approachable and super helpful. If you get the opportunity to visit the a la carte restaurant which is above the main dining area, there is a good menu and service in this restaurant is excellent. I would stay here again at some point in the future."
