"This place is stunning, simply put. They thought of everything - none of the details were missed. Hairdryer in room, spacious bathrooms and spotless rooms, lovely breakfast included. The views, flowers, sounds of birds and refreshing pool are what makes this a special place. Very close to train station in Regua, with lots of restaurants close by."

"The hotel was lovely, the staff was so kind and the entire property smelled like orange blossoms from the trees next to the hotel. The provided breakfast buffet was so good and fresh and the staff also offered individual dishes as well as espressos! My only "complaint" would be that the location has very limited restaurants, like only 3 and 2 of them were closed on Mondays! Bring some snacks and you will love the hotel!"

"Book tours and tastings at La Rosa as soon as you book your room as they sell out. If traveling from Pinhao, I recommend arranging a car before you travel. There is a single uber/bolt driver and he lives outside the area so waits are long. There are many alternative private transfers that you can book but you won’t want to be walking your bags. The staff and rooms were fantastic. Comfortable bedding and pillow options. The breakfast buffet is everything you need and dinner at the restaurant...

"Great place. We had a spacious suite with a nice river view. Close to a river walk which takes you all the way to the 1st big lock on the Douro. Breakfast came in a box to your room every morning with fresh bread, pastries, cheese, ham, orange juice & coffee. Kitchen was also well equipped. We would definitely stay there again."

The place was very clean and the staff were excellent - helpful and friendly (one staff member remembered our room number on only our second morning for breakfast!).
