"I can’t comment on the staff because their check-in just requires you to use your phone number to access the building and your room but the hotel was excellent. The rooms have no outside noise so if you’re a light sleeper, it’s the perfect spot. I got into Portsmouth long before my check-in time so I parked in a nearby garage which ended up costing the same amount that the hotel charges ($40/nt). You’re a block away from all the shops and restaurants and a short walk to Badger’s Island in Maine...

"We had an excellent stay at The Water Street Inn. The location is amazing to walk across the 2 bridges into Portsmouth, or into the small area in Kittery for restaurants and bakery. The inn has everything you will need from snacks, coffee, tea, and water. It was obvious the owners pay attention to detail and take pride in their property. When a phone charger was mistakenly left behind in the room it was no problem to reach out and they found it and we arranged to have it sent to us. Would...

"I have to say that our experience was very memorable in the best way. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful, especially Otto. My fiancée lost his way and couldn't find the entrance one evening. The room was very comfortable and clean, as well as the pool area. The breakfast selection was exceptional every morning. "Charming B&B in the center of Newburyport about 3 blocks from the water. Easy walking distance to river walk, multiple restaurants of varied menus, and charming shops (no chains). Easy driving to most north shore locations. Inn keeper was gracious and provided answers to questions about what's in town. Rooms were good size with modern bath facility. Good breakfast offering. Only thing that could have been better was low bandwidth WiFi, but I guess that's not that important for a B&B experience....
