"The fixtures and fittings were in very poor shape especially in the living area and the bathroom. We had to be very careful using old electrical appliances and avoiding falls. On the positive side, the room was large, the beds were comfortable and the bed linen was fresh and clean. Fresh bath towels were provided every day. Breakfast and occasional meals were satisfactory."

"Wow!! Winnies B&B became my home away from home. The place is so neat, tidy, clean and so comfortable. The owner was just so hospitable, warm and kind- pretty much a mom. Nothing was ever stolen or missing and felt so comfortable leaving my stuff when leaving. The staff cleaned up after us and even did our washing so that when we came back we could just relax. On our first day we were so busy we couldnt stop for dinner but the owner asked us if we had eaten and prepared some traditional tongan...

"I didn't get what I expected in booking a deluxe king room. The air condition didn't work, the TV didn't work, cupboards were broken, there was no mini bar stock in the fridge, no tea/coffee supplies, only the kettle. We were moved to a standard room and still the air con didn't work. The towels were not replenish the whole time we were there."

"Great location, with an easy walk to the markets, and town. Reception staff were lovely and helpful. Rooms were small but comfortable. Restaurant was disappointing, with the complimentary breakfast being just toast, and they had limited options due to them 'running out', when we went there for dinner. "

"Not a place to stay if you like hot or warm showers. There was hot water sometimes, but never when I wanted it. Not satisfactory for what they are charing. It was good to have a fridge in the room, and a jug for heating water, but there was no way to prepare or even heat foods; not even a microwave"

"I came for my fathers funeral. We live right behind the hotel but it was too crowded at the house so I booked a room here. The owners offered free rooms for those who came for the funeral but I booked via Expedia so that I could feel as if Im supporting our local businesses. The service was top notch and friendly. "This was a last minute booking made when our preferred booking was cancelled, after being confirmed more than three months earlier, apparently due to overbooking???
