Perfect low budget option in Freiburg

Very nice low budget hotel. The location was perfect for what I needed, with plenty of public transportation just next to the hotel. The whole staff was very gentle and efficient and the room was clean and tidy.

A little remote, but a very nice place to stay.

This is quite a modern unit, with new rooms and furnishings. The staff were most helpful. The parking was only €10 per day, which is reasonable. We did not take advantage of the breakfast (extra charge), but it looked good. There is an elevator. There was not a good night light in our room. One down-side might be the location, a ways out of town, but it was only a 10-15 minute drive into the city. The property is right next to a main public transit hub (bus and streetcar). Good air conditioning and free WiFi.

What can I say... Reception service was well below average. Hotel is pretty much middle of nowhere. We had only one set of towels. There was a sock hanging from fire alarm on The roof (yes, really...). Breakfast was ok. Good thing is that they have also 3 and 4 person rooms and Price is decent. We won't be staying here again.

Great budget hotel with everything you need - maybe one great addition would be a kettle in the room. The tram link (tram number 3) to the centre of city was just outside the hotel . Maybe one improvement would be the check-in after 10pm for people who had already booked online . Would have better if you could of given guest data at the online booking stage instead of the small screen entrance hall.

Personnel were very good, accommodating and very warm. Service also good. Room, very clean and well-kept. The room door doesn’t totally block out the noise from the corridor, so when there were other guests walking and talking at the same time (normal speaking volume) they’d somehow be heard. Didn’t bother us, anyway. We slept soundly in the room; the air conditioning was excellent. Upon our arrival we were very happy to find the room cooled comfortably. One must keep in mind, though, that there’s no small refrigerator, like in other hotels. We were actually fine with it at first, but then found that we’d need it afterwards. No biggie, though, because our stay was short. Curtains are opaque; we are light sensitive at sleep so it mattered to us. Just make sure to cover the whole window. We didn’t take the breakfast option, so nothing to say about that. The only thing we’re not so happy about is the lack of socket near the TV. We brought our own Apple TV with us, so we can watch our evening shows before sleeping, but struggled with reaching the nearest socket (at the bed side). But full picture is, our stay was a pleasant one.
