"It was a lovely small property with impeccably kept rooms and extremely friendly staff. It’s just a short walk away from the beach and has a nice pool on site for those hot days."
"I really wanted to like this hotel because it has clear potential, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing. The unit that I was in felt like it hadn’t been properly maintained in years. It looked as if it was cleaned and they forgot about it. There were dead insects in the room, and overall it just didn’t feel sanitary or cared for. Because I am somebody who travels with Lysol and disposable sheets I didn’t make as big of a fuss as I could have.
To make matters worse, basic amenities weren’t up to standard. The lighting in the main bedroom didn’t work at all, complete darkness! I had to call maintenance just to get it addressed. That’s something that should be checked long before a guest arrives. Maintenance man was very friendly! Came in and got it done.
I was also surprised that they charge extra for WiFi, which feels outdated, especially considering many guests are international travelers who rely on internet access to stay connected. When I called the front desk in disbelief the staff sounded as if I offended her.
With proper upkeep and attention to detail, this place could be great, but as it stands, it fell far short of expectations."
Viva Fortuna Beach by Wyndham, A Trademark All Inclusive
6/10 Okay
"Great resort but the onsite dive operator is dysfunctional. They need to kick them out and replace with a competent dive shop. It’s all over the reviews.
The resort trapeze staff are awesome, and we loved the picket ball.
Food is great. "
"The property was nice. The pool was a good size, and the hot tub was really relaxing. The beach was nice; they had chairs and umbrellas out. Plus a lifegaurd on duty till 5pm. Beach towels were available from the front desk. There were different games set up around the courtyard for people to play and a couple of sand patches with swings and other things for kids to play. There was also a grilling area set up for your use; you just needed charcoal, lighter fluid and utensils. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was good at the restaurant there. Lunch and drinks at Cocoanuts Tiki Bar was nice. Plus, it has a swim-up bar, which is just wonderful. There is also a laundry room set up if you'd like to get it done before you leave. The condo suite was a good size for entertaining or just relaxing. It has a kitchen for people who like to cook in at times. There is an eat-at counter and a glass table for four. There are two TVs, one in the living room and bedroom. The bathroom was standard size and has a nice cabinet with a full mirror. Shower tub unit. It has it's own hot water tank which is a bonus. So you don't have to wonder. Lol. There is a good size balcony with 2 chairs and a small table, Over looking the courtyard and views of the ocean and beach. There is also a smaller balcony off the bedroom. The resort was in a good location. Easy enough to get to other attractions, the airport and shopping. I would go there again."
