Sands Suites Resort & Spa

"Having just spent the past two weeks at Sands Suites Resort and Spa for a special occasion, the property, facilities, food, but primarily the staff exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived after our 12hr direct LGW to SSR International, we were greeted individually by the Hotel Manager, offered breakfast overlooking the pool and Tamarin Bay by the wonderful reception and restaurant staff, and then provided a personalised tour of the complex and the room before settling in. The room was large and spacious with a King size bed, 42" TV, mini fridge and plenty of storage space. It had a separate spacious bathroom consisting of twin wash basins, a bath tub, walk in shower, walk in closet and separate toilet. Everything was provided, from bodywash and lotion, loufers, hand and bath towels, flannels, sewing kits and a hairdryer; everything is there ! The hotel provides two 700ml bottles of drinking water per person, free of charge daily, and a mini bar with extra water, however the contents of the mini bar are chargeable. There is also a safe in the room at no extra charge. Sunbeds are plentiful around the pool decking and on the beach, and supplied with umbrellas and towels. As with all the staff at this resort, the pool team also excel and pride themselves on providing a unique first class experience where nothing is too much trouble; the only time to are expected to leave your sunbed is for the toilet or to take a dip in the large pool."

"Food quality and variety superb. Hygiene paramount floors tables counters cleaned after every meal seating ! Nicely appointed grounds and facilities .. great location and the beach front gets top billing. Front desk to servers waiters chefs just amazing . Thank you we will return"

"Lovely hotel nice walks along the beach The only problems couldn’t get drinks with our meals as staff didn’t understand what I wanted so had to go to bar ourselves and staff sometimes to quick to clean plates and drinks away nearly took a drink I was still drinking!! If I was all inclusive this might not be a problem but we paid for our drinks as we were only full board"

"Wonderful 2-week stay at Aanari Hotel. My room was clean and spacious and had a walk-in shower. The room was equipped with everything I needed including shower gel, shampoo, hand wash, towels, fridge, air con, and tea making facility. Beach towels are changed at reception. I slept beautifully on the large king-sized bed which was very comfortable. The staff really made my holiday - special thank you to Hans Sumputh the Manager and Rikesh the restaurant waiter for your highly efficient service and your genuine care, attention and hospitality. Thank you to the reception for all your assistance; also to the chef for all the good variety of tasty food we enjoyed and the room cleaner for keeping my room immaculate. Breakfast was plentiful and included scrambled eggs and so much freshly cut tropical fruits. The sega entertainment on Mauritian themed night was lovely. The location was ideal with Flic-en-Flac beach opposite and Carrefour supermarket next door. It has a spa and an outdoor swimming pool which I didn’t have time to use as I preferred the beach and had a hired car to visit all over the island. Free parking was provided on-site behind the hotel. The price was very affordable for half board. This hotel is a gem and I cannot recommend it highly enough for exceeding my expectations. I will definitely come back."

"What a pleasant surprise our stay here was. Beautiful rooms, attentive team, well located. Everything surpassed expectations. A stones throw from the beach - right on your doorstep. Great breakfast. If I could give it more than five stars I would. Loved it and look forward to returning soon. "
