Pros: kind host, beautiful view, relaxing setting, spacious, and lots of amenities. Cons: very dated furniture (not necessarily in the cute way you expect at a bnb), musty smell, cob webs, lumpy mattress and old, scratchy sheets, poor shower pressure, stained, old tub.

outside stairwell

I wish I had known that access to the room was via an outside metal open stairwell on the side of the building. The room could have used a good dusting and cleaning. The air was musty when we entered until we turned on the air conditioner units in the bedrooms and living room.

AC not working. Windows couldn’t be opened. Smelled stagnant. Not satisfied. Place needs updated and more attention should be paid to satisfying the customer. For what I paid, I expected more.

We actually did not stay at the Rivers Edge. The place was beautiful, and the owner very nice. But, to get to the room you had to go up an outside flight of steps that was too steep and too long for my fiance. I also had to take my time getting up them. There was no alternate access. We did not stay and had to find another place to stay. And most places were booked. We did not realize about access problems before we arrived.

Interesting place, quirky might be the best way to describe it. Staff was quite friendly and easy to work with. Could use a detailed spring cleaning, but not dirty by any measure. I'll probably stay there again.

Family trip for a wedding

We stayed here with our daughters and had plenty of room to move around and not be right on top of each other. It was so much better than a hotel. And the location? The house is right on the river and our mornings could not have been any more relaxing anywhere else. Marty was an amazing host. We will definitely be staying here again!

Beautiful river edge setting

The site location is stunning - Marty (the host) was gracious and friendly - while the bed was too soft for me, the unit was well-appointed. The breakfast was light but served with a smile and sat on the porch overlooking the river and flying blue herons gliding by . Well done

Tranquility

Greeted by owner on arrival, pleasant and relaxing view of the river and gardens. Cozy suite and lovely breakfast delivered to the room at our pre-arranged time. Perfect accomodation for us, on a trip back to our hometown. #highschoolsweethearts

Best Deal In Tiffin

For what other chain hotels get in Tiffin, this is a steal. More room, comforts of home, and I hope it remains the town's best kept secret!

Nice suite.

We enjoyed our brief stay. Very comfortable suite. In the evening, after our tiring day, we decided to get a carry out dinner and relax by eating at the dining table in the room. We especially liked that seeing the river from the living room. We went out, sat along the river edge and watched a blue heron walking in the water looking for a fish. He didn't get one so he flew off. A good place to stay and excellent service. Thank you Janet

Girls weekend!!

This was a quick girls weekend away with my daughter. The suite was amazing and the views are absolutely breathtaking. The Inns owner was so very kind, delivering pastries, fruit and juice to our room in the morning that we both enjoyed at our leisure as checkout wasn't until noon-ish. As we readied to leave the owner greeted us and offered us some of the inns history. We had a truly amain overnight stay and I will be visiting again with my husband. I would and will recommend The Rivers Edge Executive Suites to anyone and everyone!!

Unique b&b

Marty was a great host. He showed us all around his beautiful and very unique b&b originally built in the 1800s. Our apartment was very clean and comfortable. The grounds were wonderful.

Nice but stayed at better

The place was very clean and everything you could have wanted was available. The beds were not the most comfortable and that was everyone opinion. However, the worst problem was the entrance to the place. You have to ascend very steep outside steps to get to the rooms. Much like a fire-escape. The breakfast was ok but have had so much better in various other B&Bs.

Perfect Private Getaway

I surprised my husband with a last minute getaway and we were both very happy when we pulled into the driveway of the Rivers Edge. Marty met us as we were getting out and he was so kind. We stayed in the one bedroom suite and it was perfect. Very homey and had everything we needed. The pastries in the morning with the fresh fruit were a wonderful start to our day. The grounds are just breathtaking, the river flows directly behind the property and they have plenty of spots to sit and take it all in. We will be going back, most likely each season. Beautiful property & great alternative to a hotel

Excellent alternative to the local hotels. Private, clean, and large suite. Beautiful property with everything you need to relax.
