"Lodge is served by some buses but on a limited service. Plenty of buses stop at “The Four Ashes” pub 1 mile along the road. Check in easy. Room large and well appointed - apart from the floor. "

"Lovely room with view. Manager Babs was very nice and cleaner found my lost hearing aid. Everything was lovely though there wasn’t a bedside light. But I had a torch so it was ok."

"Did a late booking for a business trip. Great service by staff who contacted me and explained the self check in process as I arrived in the late evening. Accommodated a late change I made and were very helpful. Beautifully renovated property with lots of parking, spacious room with good amenities and comfy bed and bedding. Spotlessly clean room and bathroom. Highly recommended for business or pleasure!!!"

"My friend and I had a wonderful stay! Great value with the large yummy breakfast cooked for us. Our only regret is that we didn’t have time to enjoy it more and chat more with Stan, but we had a morning flight to catch. They were very accommodating to our departure time. They also provided a great dinner recommendation where the locals go."

"We had a great time at Rectory Manor, a lovely old georgian country house set in mature garden of trees and lawn with a swimming pool and tennis court if you want some exercise. Our room (the Hudson) was furnished in the country house style and was supremely comfortable. The only downside was the bathroom was a bit small and slightly dated. The bath was too small to properly soak. On the plus side we had an unexpected balcony that caught the morning sun whilst giving beautiful country views...
