"A peaceful haven within striking distance of Dunkirk ferry port for us. Beautiful setting with lots to do. Not only pool and jacuzzi but also board games, books and pool table accessible. No elevator, no in room refrigerator or bottled water, no TV, no AC, no bug screens which were a serious issue given the heat wave and no AC. "This was a last minute booking due to an imminent need to return to UK ( motorcycle trip ) and having done 400km with another 300 to do. Staff v friendly, this is a hotel which supports water sports groups ( mostly young kayakers ), but Dinant is a lovely location. The bar restaurant is another building the other side of the car park, which was open for drinks but kitchen was closed. However around the corner on the waterfront was a fabulous bar/ restaurant with loads of character. The hotel overall was what we wanted, a bed for the night. I was not put off by young people enjoying the water, it was nice to see."
