"Check was 5pm so we left the car and walked into town and had a picnic looking at the cliffs and sea. Nice seeded baguette with cheese and tomatoes. Walking back we stopped to look at the the sea veiws. Being tired we snuggled up watching a French geographical documentary in French France that tested our French. "Please note the town shuts down at 8 PM. They close the hotel and do NOT wait for you to check in. Fortunately a much nicer hotel was down by the actual beach and accommodated us. It worked out bc it was a far superior hotel and not much more money compared to the new Windsor. Stay somewhere else but def visit Etretat. "
