Nice quiet cabin far enough from town that there is no light or noise pollution. Great for viewing the Aurora. The owners are super nice and we are lucky that they have chosen to share their slice of paradise with others.
Jim is an amazing host! Stopped by while we were outside just to make sure everything was good. This is now my second time staying here and will definitely be back.
Cabin excellent! Very well put together. All essentials needed to stiock up and prepare food of if stayed longer. Easy to get to. Quiet. Beautiful surroundings. Definitely would stay here again!! Highly recommend!
I loved my stay here, everything was clean, and cleaning products provided for guests to help clean up after themselves in the shared bathroom, and those where awesome, never had to wait even with full cabin, clean and had everything youd need. The cabin is beautiful and pretty private and quiet for being right next to another one. Id give my stay a 10 out of 19 would recommend
There were a few detractors from the cabins, but they were overwhelmed by the positives by far. You should note that the cabins' bathrooms are detached, but they are clean with good hot running water. The few trout in the lake are catch and release only, but there is an unlimited amount in Birch Lake, just 45 minutes down the road. Jim is more than willing to give you all the pointers or advice to bring them home. Also, the Wifi was down when I was there. However, that was because of a storm. Despite these setbacks, the cabins were an incredibly good place to stay. I saw beavers and sand bill cranes while staying there, the nature around was incredible, and Jim did everything possible to make my stay as good as it could be. When he learned I was interested in gold panning, he personally took me to two spots within 15 minutes of Fairbanks where I could pan for all the gold I wanted, and he gave me pointers on methods and techniques. You won't get that service at the local hotels.
Great location just outside of Fairbanks. Cabins are extremely well kept and a great view out the front door. Quiet & peaceful. I will definitely stay here again.
Cute little log cabin with a beautiful pond.
Quiet and relaxing
1 hiccup - housekeeper did not leave towels and facecloths
Comfortable and has all you need
I’ll definitely come back and recommend this place
