Amazing is truly an understatement for our stay! The room was spotless, and I adored all the thoughtful, homemade touches. The lavender soap for my face was a particular highlight, and it felt like lavender was growing everywhere. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful, making our visit even more pleasant. Both breakfast and dinner were fantastic. I absolutely loved the river, the waterfalls, and the pool – I was completely in love with this place! There was so much to do on the property itself that we didn't even get to explore everything. A girlfriend and I just took a one night trip because we had heard so much about NEW Harmony.. there was absolutely nothing going on and only five or six shops open on the one square… We had dinner at red Gardenia, which was pleasant/outdoor seating in a trio band… Our stay at the hotel was perfect. Everything was clean and comfortable. I would suggest going to the area when there is a big festival, though… The homes and architecture kind of remind me of New Orleans or Saint Augustine… Super cute super small and it was perfect for one night trip… they are on Central time (same state, 3 hrs south…..which nobody mentioned nor did we happen to notice with our clocks and were an hour late getting home ti an appointment, but now we know…

This is one of the most pleasant hotels I've stayed in. it is located in New Harmony, which itself seems to exist in a separate, almost cinematic dimension of attractiveness and tranquility. The hotel is a 'convention' facility, so is part of a larger building. The structures appear to be several decades old, but are in excellent condition. The room itself displayed quality in the real wood in the furniture, shelves, windows, even baseboards. The bath is tiled and has stone tiles on the floor. They even put a little bag of lavender potpourri beside the bed. The only negative is that the check in was hard to find. It took a bit of looking to discover that it is in a small separate building. Nearby is a pleasant restaurant and the famous 'Roofless Church'. the community has many historic buildings and houses. In all it's a wonderful stay and well worth the reasonable cost.
