"Beds are not comfy, duct tape on the windows curtains, closet door fell off when opened, in house restaurant was pricey and mediocre at best, asked for medium rare ribeye, got well done. Housekeeping walked into the room without knocking, 2 hours before checkout, as I was standing right there naked fresh out of the shower. Payed for a king suite with a lakeview, the was only one window out of three you could see the lake out of and you had to lean over the desk to look out of it. The breakfast was the only thing that wasn't completely disappointing about this place, the guy working the breakfast room was great, excellent, him 10 out of 10, hotel chequamegon 1 out of 10. Trash."
"Best breakfast and very comfortable bed/pillows. Unfortunately someone left a 6am alarm active that blared in the room waking us up. Along with loud truck noises really close to the room 5am-7am. The light outside our room was dying and strobe lighting even with the curtains drawn would light up the room. The bathroom fan is incredibly loud and not seperate from the light so if one person got up in the night everyone wakes up from the sound. The room had a window to the pool which meant all sound from the pool comes through and the heat/humidity from the pool invades the room causing a stuffy smell. The first night even though there was a frost warning we set the AC at 66 degrees...we woke up sweating in the night. Next night we set it to 62...no difference. Our room was a couple feet away from a dumpster so the view was not pleasant unless you walked to the middle or other side of the hotel. Very uncomfortable and frustrating. I did call about the strobe light and they did address it pretty quickly. I have no complaints about the staff or cleanliness...just everything else about the stay was not adequate."
"A lovely little hotel right on the water with amazing views. Rooms were decorated with care and had a theme! Beds were comfortable a d amenities were great. There is a Cafe downstairs but unfortunately it closed early and we could not try it for dinner. There were several other dining options nearby so it was fine. I am sure the area is hopping in warm weather. It was super quiet when we were there. Highly recommend!"
