"The hotel was lovely very nice room and spa facilities were good. Pool a bit small but perfect for a dip. Unfortunately the music from the reception area was booming all day and night so I got little to no sleep. Very disappointing when on a business trip and needing to be well rested the next day. "It's a lovely building close to the M11 in lovely grounds with parking. What I didn't like was check in at 4pm, it's out of step with most other places which are 3pm. Most hotels can get the rooms ready 11-3pm. The room was very small and the style was very dated, the rooms away from the main building are not well signed and a room for 2 people had no hand towels, 2 bath towels and the only toiletries was a minuscule bar of soap, no shower gel or shampoo.
