Perfect 10 experience!
Beautiful, clean and well appointed room in a lovely home. Our hosts were wonderful with many great suggestions on sites and meals. The daily breakfast was delicious! Dungarvan is a charming location and a great launching point for the area cities and sites. Highly recommend booking your stay at the Dun Ard House.

Our stay at Dún Ard was fantastic! The rooms were spotless and had every amenity we could have wanted. Joe was amazing and provided very helpful tips for exploring the local area. We can reccomend Anne's breakfast to anyone and think we've now enjoyed the perfect omelette!

Beautiful room so tastefully decorated , loved the jacuzzi bath.. Very comfortable bed. Joe and Anne are great hosts and we enjoyed our lovely freshly cooked breakfast. Highly recommend a stay at Dun Ard.

The property is beautiful as well as the view from the "Oyster" room. Joe is the perfect host! The food was excellent and the house was decorated more tastefully than any hotel I've stayed in. Everything was spotless and the bed the most comfortable yet!

The owner was exceptional--he contacted us the day before to coordinate our arrival and gave us wonderful suggestions for dinner. It's a beautiful area, quiet and overlooks the water with a pretty garden. Exceptionally clean room with water and coffee provided already in the room. Beautiful property, big rooms, comfortable beds, great value for the price.

A fabulous B&B in a lovely area. Clean and very comfortable with extra little touches that make all the difference. Travelled to Ireland for a christening, Joe was incredibly helpful by allowing us an early check in and emailed us directions as there were road works locally that had closed a route. Joe was very welcoming and extremely helpful. He arranged a taxi for us and gave us directions to the church as we had no knowledge of the local area. Really can’t recommend Dún Ard enough, the room was clean and beautifully presented, breakfast was fantastic and Joe could not have been more helpful. There is lots to do and see in the local area, but you definitely need a car to get around.

We surprised our hosts by arriving early. Joe and Anne were accommodating nonetheless. In selecting a place to stay, I had not given thought to the possibility of stairs and no elevator. Both my daughter and I had HUGE bags that Joe graciously carried up two flights. The beds were among the most comfortable of our 10-day trip, the bathroom was spacious and immaculate, and breakfast was delicious — made to order based on our preferences provided upon arrival. As we were leaving, we developed a problem with our left side view mirror. Joe came to our rescue, figuring out that the wiring had somehow become disconnected. Now that’s service.

This is most certainly a 5 star Bed and Breakfast and this is no overstatement. Joe is your quintessential host who genuinely cares about your happiness and comfort. The apartments in this home are beautiful with fine furnishings, great modern construction, and more class than our own home by far. We loved the location because we could readily visit Kilgarven or the beach town of Ardmore just a short distance away. Joe has great suggestions for you depending on the interest of his guests. The breakfast is 5 star quality as though we had a personal Chef attending to us. We would certainly book again and we would recommend Dun Ard to all our family and friends.

We very much enjoyed staying at the Dun Ard B&B in Dungarvan. They have been given a 5-star rating for a reason. Everything about this B&B is perfection - the home, the rooms, the location, and the very delicious breakfast. We would without hesitation stay here again!!

Happy Days in Dungarvan
We had an excellent stay. The property is very modern, clean and comfortable. We were treated with great courtesy and hospitality. It is a quiet location with good views and good food. Dungarvan has some good restaurants and pubs with great live folk music.

Dun Ard was classy and elegant. In other words, incredible. The bed was supremely comfortable; Joe was very gracious and accommodating; and breakfast was a real treat. I joked to Joe that the only thing missing from his elegant breakfast setting was a uniformed and white-gloved footman to pull our chairs back for us when we sat for our meal. Seriously, Dun Ard was more than worth the charge. It was the nicest B&B we've ever stayed at. You will NOT be disappointed. Do yourself a real favor and BOOK IT!

Stayed for two nights at the end of September. Outstanding accommodation plus an excellent breakfast. Great restaurant a short distance away, with lots more if prepared to drive a little further. Enjoyable stay in a great location, highly recommended.

Amazing stay! We arrived late but our host was very friendly. Amazing room, amazing breakfast! Remote location but perfect to relax and enjoy the countryside. Very safe and beautiful inside. Privacy with the plus of bed and breakfast. Little nice pub nearby. I recommend it highly!

We booked this B&B from Expedia which described a view of the bay. While you can see the sea from the outside if you stand on the upper deck you certainly are not able to view it from the downstairs bedroom which is the room we stayed in. The venue is located some distance outside town in a housing estate. The host was pleasant and the breakfast delicious however the venue and room are overpriced. The foul smell of the drains in our room was so bad that we both ended up with a headache. At the price we paid we could have stayed downtown in a hotel. Very disappointed.

Very recently upgraded private home. Our unit was on the ground level and had a slightly musty odor, but nothing to diminish the stay. The furnishings, including the bathroom, were all very modern and top notch. Joe also went out of his way to ensure we were aware of some of his favorite attractions, sights, and restaurants. His breakfast was also fantastic. There was one night with severe thunderstorms and the wifi/internet connection was lost. Joe set up his iPad/iPhone as a hotspot and we limped through. We used Dun Ard as a base of operations to explore the south, including Cork, Blarney Castle, Dungarven, and Wexford. This is a great B&B with an owner that loves what he does. Stay here. You'll love it.

An astonishing Gem on the South Coast

We really thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Dún Ard. Everything was superb. The greeting from Joe really welcoming. The bedroom and bathroom pure opulence and absolutely spotless! Joe gave us recommendations for places to visit and somewhere to eat. We were even offered a glass of Rosé on the balcony! The breakfast was served and was so fresh and top quality. Lovely hotel near Dungarvan
Stayed only one night but will look forward to our next opportunity to stay hopefully for a few days. Very comfortable "Oyster" room with a great view over the bay. Lovely breakfast and I loved the presentation of the scrambled egg with smoked salmon. Warm hospitality from Joe added a personal touch. Loved the welcoming email with contact details and reminder of the directions.

My husband and I had a great 2 night break recently in Dun Ard. The house is really nice, modern and clean. Great breakfast. The B&B is only a short drive from Dungarven so it was very easy to go into the town for something to eat. Joe looked after us from the minute we arrived. Really friendly and helpful. We even got texts before we arrived to warn us of road works in the area. We can't recommend it enough. PS. If you like scenic views then you will get them on the way to and from the B&B.

A B&B to remember
We had a lovely two night stay here. Joe and Anne were exceptional hosts and guided us to some of the most memorable activities of our trip. Joe generously lent us a spare cell phone to help us navigate the area. The room was lovely - spacious, painted in warm colors and tastefully decorated with artistic flair. We loved the breakfast offerings especially the fresh fruit salad and traditional Irish breakfast which was cooked to perfection. When we make it back to Ireland, we'd love to stay there again.

This place is about 5 miles outside Dungarvan. Absolutely stunning house. Spotlessly clean and finished to a designers standard. The light fitting in the stairwell is jaw dropping and I'm not normally someone who gets excited about lights! The bed I slept in was one of the comfiest I've ever been in. Apparently shipped all the way from Australia!!! Joe is a wonderful host and makes a fantastic breakfast. The views as you drive along the coast road between Dungarvan and Dun Ard are amazing. I can't recommend this place any higher.

We had stayed on previous nights at another hotel in Kinsale which was twice the price but this B & B had quadruple the luxury. Stayed for two nights at Dun Ard and received a very friendly warm welcome. We upgraded to a room with a Jacuzzi but did not expect the luxurious feel to the room as a whole. We had a room downstairs with our own private access. The room to us had a wow factor, from the decor to the furniture all tastefully done. Filled with beautiful fittings of a high standard, including a cabinet full of crystal. The bathroom was brilliant with a double Jacuzzi. However we did not expect our own private sauna what a bonus. The breakfast was plentiful, all very fresh and tasty with a good choice. On the second morning i had to resort to a smaller breakfast !! Well worth a visit and you can see why it has highly rated reviews on Trip Advisor and other sites.
