This was our best B&B experience ever! Isobel was a wonderful hostess, taking care of our every need and a delight to talk to. The breakfasts were super delicious and plentiful. If you need a place to stay near Edinburgh, I highly recommend this place, a haven of quiet comfort while being very convenient to get into the city. Loved it!

Very convenient for the station, regular trains straight to Edinburgh. Isobel gave us a lovely welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. Room was comfortable, ensuite good, breakfasts exceptional.

Chatty people, nice garden, near station. Hard to find in the trees. From station go up the longest of the ramps across the crossing. BnB is straight ahead but you need to use the stairs to the right and go through the garden around the house.

Really well located, just a short walk to the train station and about a fifteen minute ride into Edinburgh. We loved our stay at The Roods. Isobel and Patrick were so friendly and welcoming. Great breakfasts and a comfortable room.

While it was a challenge to locate The Roods from the Trip Advisor address indicated, it was well worth the extra tie taken. ,The Staff went over and above the expected to ensure we had what we needed. We would happily return t the Roods in the future..

First B&B experience and it was absolutely wonderful! Was a great way to decompress after stressful travels. Hosts offered dining recommendations that were fabulous, and breakfast in the morning was fantastic!

Varm velkomst

Vi fik en varm og hjertelig modtagelse på dette B&B. Værterne var søde og i ødekommende. Meget hjælpsomme med hensyn til hjælp med transport mod Edinburgh med tog. Samt vejvisning i området. Stedet ligger lige ved siden af en togstation. Man kan ikke hører toget, men det er positivt at man så nemt kan komme til Edinburgh med tog, uden at skulle betale en meget høj parkeringsafgift i Edinburgh. Værelset var meget rent.

Comfortable and welcoming.

A comfortable B&B run by a very friendly couple. Situated a very short walk from Inverkeithing railway station, ideally situated for the frequent rail services. Excellent breakfast.

Tolles B & B in der Nähe des Flughafens Edinburgh.

Es war zwar nur für eine Nacht aber es hat sich gelohnt. Tolles Zimmer mit neuem Bad und am nächsten Morgen ein Super Scotish Brteakfast.

We Loved It!! Would Happily Return!

Super easy to get to if you are not travelling by car - bus #747 from Edinburgh airport stops right in front or Scotrail just one block down the road. Note that the house is right on the corner and up a small flight of stairs (we missed it the first time around). The hosts were absolutely super - very welcoming; they make you feel at home. Good advice on restaurants in the neighborhood and what to see. Breakfasts were AMAZING (best on our trip all over UK), especially the fruit salad which was exceptional and the selection of cheeses and perfectly cooked eggs. Wish we could eat there every morning! We were very envious of both the front and back gardens - beautiful! All the rooms were lovely (especially the dining area where you have breakfast) and the tea service and snacks in the room were just what we needed after a long day of walking around Edinburgh. This was by far our favourite place to stay. Highly recommend a walk though Inverkeithing and over the hill to charming North Queensferry (about a 1/2 hour walk with hills).

ISOBEL AND PATRICK WERE EXTREMELY FRIENDLY IN THEIR WELCOME, AND THE PERFECT HOSTS NOTHING WAS TOO MUCH TROUBLE, AS OUR BUSY SCHEDULE WAS SOMEWHAT UNPREDICTABLE
