Good Stay

We stayed for one night and also ate both dinner and breakfast here. We were happy with our stay. The people who manage the space were helpful and friendly. We appreciated their hard work. Everything was clean. The pub-type food, while nothing extraordinary, was enjoyable and - again - the service was good and prompt. This is not a "hotel" in the same way that a Scandic or Radisson is. It is a guest-house, with rooms, bathrooms and beds similar to those you might find at a summer-camp. But it is also a good bit less expensive than hotels like those, and its quality is better than its cost. There are stains/markings on doors and bathroom walls. But again, the spaces seemed to be very clean - just well-worn and marked with long use over time. Thank you very much.

Ble ikke ønsket velkommen, da vi kom-det drar dessverre ned. Frokosten var mye bedre enn forventet. Og da var servicen mye bedre. Rommet/hotellet var rent. Såg en stor barnevennlig lekekrok.

Ser du etter ein stille og roleg overnattings-plass, er dette plassen for deg. Hyggeleg personale, bra mat, reint, rimeleg. Bygninga treng generelt ei oppussing etter kvart, men det påverkar ikkje opplevinga nevneverdig. Stoppar gjerne seinare ein gang.

Comme dans un vieux film américain

Oui c'est vieillot ,oui cest sommaire. Les matelas moyens, les oreillers pas terribles. Les chambres côté route bruyantes. MAIS ,il suffirait de peu de choses pour ameliorer l'établissement. ET j'ai été touchée par ce couple qui tient tout çà du matin au soir, y compris la station service. Une impression d'être dans un film américain des années 50, ou dans un roman de Steinbeck. Une expérience humaine, en-dehors des hôtels standards.

Godt alternativ for overnatting langs E6 - Dovre

Veldig praktisk overnatting langs veien. Rommet var rent og stille. Helt ok frokost, med blant annet egg og bacon. Mulighet for lading av bil. Trenger jeg overnatting i området igjen, ville jeg kommet tilbake. Ps. Resepsjon stenger 23, ikke 22 som det står på Hotels.com.

Kaldt på rommet da vi kom, men OK ovn. Røykvarsleren blinker kraftig. Vinduet må ha et tau for å stå i luftestilling: en krok hadde hjulpet. Topp løsning for røyking: åpen bakdør. Imponerende frokost, meget godt brød.

Helt enkelt rom med bad. Der var tv. Frokosten var grei og enkel. Vi ble mett og fornøyd. Vi ble spurt om vi ville ha egg og bacon, og det ble laget til oss. Veldig koselig og barnevennlig kafé. Minuset var at da vi skulle dra var stedet låst og forlatt uten at vi hadde fått beskjed. Dette var før senest utsjekking. Vi måtte selv låse oss ut bakveien. Resepsjonen var også stengt, så vi måtte ringe.

Prisen på stedet med frokost var akseptabel ved booking, det er et slitt sted og fruster ikke til gjentakelse. Treg innsjekk, rommet hadde hva vi trengte men slitt. Middagen vi bestilte hadde de ikke, det skjønte de ikke før vi hadde betalt. Ny bestilling på annen mat, den var dårlig tilberedt og smakte som ferdig mat fra en industrileverandør. Frokosten var sparsom, nærmest på sparebluss, bacon fryktlig dårlig og fløyt i fett. Anbefales ikke.

Litt dårlig renhold på badet på første rommet vi lå på. Toalettet var tett så vi fikk oss et nytt rom som også var litt renere. Ok frokost med nystekte egg og bacon.

Very pleasant mountain getaway

I have never been on a cabin trip, while popular here, where you do "nothing". It is very relaxing. The guesthouse is very remote, far away from things on the edge of a forest near a small town, with nothing nearby. Very quiet, but at the same time close to 5 national parks, and plenty of skiing in winter time. Beautiful placement. Unlike a cabin though, it is more of a mountain lodge type setup with multiple rooms. It is under new ownership, and due to covid business was slow and there were some heating issues (it was -24° one morning) at first but was quickly fixed by the owners, who are very nice people. Will stay there again probably!
