Information on site needs updating.

Not as descibed on hotels.com. There is no restaurant and therefore no breakfast. There is no terrace. Photos must be really old. First room assigned smelled of smoking and to their credit they did swop our room. All a bit dated but it was cheap so you get what you pay for.

very clean hotel

Very Relaxing and the room was cleaned and Refreshed Plenty of food at rear of hotel. We hired a scooter from the hotel which was great But Note: No more visa given at boarder

No hot water for shower, the shower head was broken and sprayed over half the bathroom, one window wouldn't close all the way, the staff made it clear that guests were unwelcome. I think there was supposed to be breakfast included but I wanted no part of it. .I went to a little bakery on the main street instead. On the plus side the location is good and the room was spacious and clean.

ベッドの上掛けがむき出しの毛布だけであり、清潔なシーツ等がなかった点がマイナス。それを指摘しても、シーツはないという回答であった。 朝食が、フランスパン２個、玉子２つを使った料理(１日目は目玉焼き、２日はプレーンオムレツ)、バター、ジャム、果物少し(１日目はドラゴンフルーツ数切れ、２日目はスイカ数切れ)のみであった。この地方ではこれが当たり前なのかも知れないが、それを表示すべき。 最初に部屋に案内された時に、歯ブラシやせっけんがなく、連絡したら持ってきた。 しかし、市場や各施設に近い、家族経営で一生懸命やっているのは伝わってきたので、最初からその気であれば決していやなホテルではない。また、機会があれば宿泊するつもりである。

Reasonable hotel

The hotel is one of the larger budget ones with a good central location. Very little English is spoken so be prepared to signal what you need. We attempted to get the breakfast but after waiting around the empty lobby/front desk for 5 mins gave up and went and bought our own elsewhere. The rooms are massive, the hotel feels a little dated and there is definitely smoking in the lobby and hallways. Overall this isn’t an amazing hotel but it’s still ahead of much of its budget competition in this area.

Nous sommes arrivés à 4h par bus de nuit et quelqu'un était sur place pour nous ouvrir. Ne parlait pas vraiment anglais mais le lendemain une femme responsable nius a donné la carte de la ville et prêté les parapluies. Pas de petit déjeuner avant 7h par contre.

The location is perfect to walk to all the sites important to the Siege of Dien Bien Phu. The restaurant and balconies on each floor overlook the river and you will see the planes which fly in two times a day. It’s easy to imagine the planes which supplied the French with aid during the battle using the same airfield in 1954. The market and a street of restaurants are within two minutes walk. A comfortable stay.

Kind of OK.....

Check in was friendly - then we discovered we had been given a poor room with no view as opposed to a De Luxe River View room. Complained - they said we could move in 2 hrs. Went out - came back in 2 hours and there was a different non English speaking receptionist on who did not know what was happening - but all our luggage was gone ! She gave us a key to a room - went up and there was someone in there (She was basically guessing). Eventually after trying various keys and rooms we found our luggage in a better room ! Be warned - we found all the room keys in reception with no one watching them - not v secure. The room was OK (Well the river view) and well worth the money - comfy with good wifi. Breakfast was just about passable. All in all it was cheap and fairly comfy so we can't complain too much - but I suspect they tried to give us a really poor room and give the good room we paid for to someone else which is sharp practice.

Pleasant Homely

Given the isolation of Dien Bien this hotel is of a very good standard. With limited English the staff made every effort to please. Safe and secure. Walking distance to eating area and main attractions. Breakfast is basic but filling. All up great value for what you pay.
