"Hôtel seems to be in the middle of a major renovation. I’m sure it will be lovely once complete. For now there was construction in the lobby, paper lining the halls, some workers outside my 5th floor window (during the day) and occasional drilling and hammering sounds. Not as grand as the name might suggest. "

"We had a comfortable 2 night stay at Novotel Suites Lille Europe. The room was spacious and we appreciated the large tv, fridge and nespresso machine. The only negative was that the sheets weren’t very soft on the beds and felt starchy."

The €12 breakfast wasn't as good as we hoped: pancakes and waffles were the cold, store-bought variety, but the fruit salad was good. It was within walking distance of the station (Lille Europe).
