"Checked into my room, honestly could not believe the room I was given when I walked in. Very outdated and dusty, lots of webs and spiders in corners of ceiling with a damp musty smell every time you walk in. Peeled walls in corners from dampness. Bathroom was quite nice and clean but very low pressure water in the shower. Spa facilities were quite pleasant and enjoyable, although the changing rooms could be cleaned thoroughly. "The furniture and fittings were the cheapest possible with no towel rails to hang towels or drawers to put things in.
The check in was extremely slow and on leaving they tried to charge me for a breakfast I had already paid for.
No de-caff tea available on evenings.
Staff were generally friendly.
Expedia did not give the room and breakfast I clicked on on the website. Expedia experience was terrible - will never use them again."

"No air conditioning in bedroom and a 10.5 tog duvet on the bed in summer. Couldn't have the window open as room was on the ground floor and the safety cable, designed to stop the window being opened more than a couple of inches, was broken and hanging off. After enduring a very uncomfortable night I asked the receptionist if the duvet could be replaced with a lighter one. She said she would speak to housekeeping and that perhaps they could supply a couple of sheets if a duvet was not available....

"We like Seckford Hall for it's traditional ambience and previously had stayed here in 1977 for the Aldeburgh Festival - we found the programme for the year we had attended at the Red House in Aldeburgh. Our visit this time was to see the site of the historical dig at Sutton Hoo. The hotel is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful. There have been a few changes in 50 years and the hotel is well used as a wedding venue. Occasionally there was disco music until midnight but it did not...
