Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island

"The staff at Sonesta really go above and beyond, they are so friendly and accommodating. The resort is clean and well maintained and you are only steps from a beautifully maintained beach. The food is good with the breakfast buffet being the best for fresh foods and service. The hotel is quiet and there are plenty of activities to engage kiddos as well as adults. I would recommend updating the menus for the three restaurants to provide some different choices as we felt the choices were limited. The adult pool is small and while there is plenty of seating around the pool, it is small and gets pretty crowded. I recommend this resort and would consider staying here again in the future."

"Thanks to the manager, we were placed in the room we booked (2Q deluxe studio w/Kitchenette). This took 2 hours to fix & wasted time we could have spent on the beach/activity- We were given 1Q & Murphy bed w/kitchen. The Murphy bed placement was going to disrupt the flow of walking & moving about as the beds would touch bottom to bottom leaving no room to pass.. (I’m not folding it up and down). Anyway, the 2Q deluxe studio was great. I love the extra vanity space & mirror in the room to get ready as others could use the bathroom area. The outlet at the vanity was not tight, the plug would almost fall out/droop. It was quiet in the room. We had plenty of hot water. Room was clean-wiped every thing w/Clorox wipes for my OCD. Oceanfront w/2 chairs on the balcony, 2 dressers with a TV on each, lounge chair, small table w/4 chairs (one placed at vanity). Fridge was cold & freezer worked. We didn’t use the Kitchen space, but looked for scissors- didn’t find. I love it had a large trash can! The beds were comfortable. Didn’t care for the pillows. Terrible placement of bathroom fixtures. 2 towel racks- The one was above the toilet; the towels actually were touching the toilet as they are hanging. It needs raised! No hand towel rack. The toilet paper was difficult to reach-down under the sink & behind the toilet & under hanging towels. No suitcase holders or plastic laundry bags. A few hooks in the entry would be a great addition along w/full sized mirror."

Crown Reef Beach Resort and Waterpark

"Great staff, over all helpful! Room was excellent when checked in, clean room overall! Pools and water slides are super fun to spend time with family and children. Easy access to the beach from hotel with stations to wash feet/body! Only down side is if you are driving a larger sized vehicle such as a truck or a suv it will be a bit difficult to maneuver around the parking garage. Careful when turning corners, I thought I had enough space to turn the corner in my pickup truck and ended up slamming into a pillar! In addition the elevators will be a little tight and have a more longer wait time especially on weekends if you are staying on higher floors. Over all great hotel with amazing views from all rooms! Will stay again!"

Coral Beach Resort and Suites

"The room was clean & advertised correctly in the listing. We did have a beach view. It is an older building & we did have issues with water draining in the shower. They had a plunger in the room so we were able to take care of the issue when it did occur. The property is family friendly with 10 pools, small bowling alley & arcade, however it does sit among several ran down & closed properties & is not walking distance to any attractions. Would not walk the area at night. The staff was friendly & helpful. Also we had to eat out or DoorDash dinner as there was nowhere for a sit down dinner on the property. "

"The Francis Marion is a historic hotel and scores top for location. The staff were helpful at check in, however, it was like any hotel thereafter. The rooms are old and the bathrooms are outdated. The flush in the toilet has had to be used at 3-4 each time. The counter space was very small. Lots of good coffee places and restaurants in walking distance. Overall good experience, nothing outstanding."

North Shore Oceanfront Resort Hotel with Waterpark

"Beautiful view from balcony, room was fairly clean however carpet going from antique elevator to room was old and filthy. Was never vacuumed once during the week long stay. Location was wonderful. Getting ice from communal ice chest behind the front desk was unappealing. The food at the restaurant on premise was wonderful with excellent service!"
